I'm a little sad that this stamp set and the spinners will be retiring as of May 30th.  It's a set I like, but haven't used it too much yet.

Nature Walk Husband Card

Hello!  Today's card was made for a contest my upline is having for masculine cards and will be used for  my husband's birthday card.  (It's safe to put on here because the only time he checks out my blog is when I make him!  lol)  I made the birds nest out of a circle punch, sponged it in Soft Suede and then ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I used my paper snips to cut the edge so I could curl it up to add some dimension.   It's hard to tell but the eggs are layered one on top of the other and have Crystal Effects on them.
The leaves were made with the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.  I wish I would have sponged the edges, but I didn't think of it until after I had them glued down!  The Basic  Gray card stock was scored using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.

Supplies

Stamp Sets:  Nature Walk, Family Reunion
Paper:  Not Quite Navy, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink:  Black Stazon
Punches:  1 1/4" Circle, Modern Label
Extras:  Water color crayons, Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Little Leaves Sizzlits Die
              Dimensionals

Thanks a lot for stopping by.

2012 Retired List

Wow!  This morning I was up at 5:00 a.m. checking out the retired accessory list from Stampin' Up!  They warned us it would be big, and they were not kidding.  You can take a look at it here.  Don't be shocked when you see all of the stamp pads on the list.  Stampin' Up! is discontinuing the craft pads, but the classic pads will be reconfigured with a new foam material that will ink our stamps better in the same great colors.  It will be so exciting to see the new catalog this year on June 1st.

Many of the retired products on the list are on sale, click on the button on the right to visit my online store to purchase the items you want to get before they run out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Rosette Wreath

Hello!  I've seen so many beautiful Rosette Wreaths over the past few months and I couldn't wait to give it a try.  Well, I've finally finished mine.
I really loved the Everyday Enchantment DSP and had quite a bit left over so I thought that would be perfect for my wreath.  Sorry the photo didn't turn out very well, the paper is much brighter in person.
Here's a close up shot.  As you can see I used some punches, pearls and brads for the center.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Corner Bookmark

Hi!  Today's project was cased from the April Stampin' Success magazine.
It is a bookmark that slides onto the corner of a page.  This one lays pretty flat, I was thinking that personally I wouldn't want anything too bulky.  I must admit that I'm not too crazy about this color combo...I think I'll have to try this again.  Still trying to use different color combinations. :)

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Posy Punch
Paper:  Marina Mist (card stock and DSP), Whisper White, Wild Wasabi DSP
Ink:  Perfect Plum
Punches:  Fancy Flower, 1" Square (for the ribbon cut out), 3/4" Circle
Extras:  Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

Matchbook Post It Note Holders

Hello!  I got today's project idea from the May Stampin' Success magazine.  They had so many great ideas in this issue that I'll have to make something else too.
The blue one on the left was made from a piece of card stock measuring 9 1/4" x 3 1/8".  It was scored at 3 3/8", 3 3/4" and 7 3/4".  I used the scallop edge border and dotted scallop ribbon border punches to decorate the piece the flap slides into and a brad to hold it in place.
Here's a peek at the inside of the smaller one.  This card stock measured 6" x 2 1/4" and is scored at     2 1/8", 2 1/2" and 5".  These are super easy to make and everyone uses post it notes, so they would make a cute little gift!

Supplies

Stamp Sets:  Language of Friendship, Apothecary Art
Paper:  Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi,
            Tangerine Tango DSP
Ink:  Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue
Punches:  Scallop Edge Border, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border
Extras:  Glitter Brads, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspired by Nature

Hello, today I've made a card using the Inspired by Nature stamp set that will be retiring as of May 31st.  I really liked this stamp set when I bought it, but haven't used it too much so I thought I better get it out and put it to use.
Another product that I haven't used much is the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die.  Boy, for me this is a lot of layers!  Five plus a ribbon!!  I'm getting geared up for the swaps I want to make for the Stampin' Up! convention in July.  I signed up yesterday and can't wait to get to Salt Lake City for four solid days of stamping and swapping!  I've heard it is so much fun.

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Inspired by Nature
Paper:  Old Olive, Rose Red, Whisper White
Ink pad and Markers:  Old Olive, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip
Punches:  1 3/8" circle, 1 3/4" Scallop circle
Ribbon:  1/4" Old Olive

Front Porch Card

Hello!  Wow, today is a very blustery day indeed.  It makes me long for the nice warm days of summer...which makes me think of porches...which is what this card reminds me of.  I saw a beautiful card made by Penny McGonigal on Stampin' Connection and knew I just had to make one too.  Here's how mine turned out.
I made this card for my friend Marge who is having a birthday tomorrow.
I used the Top Note die for the opening and then cut narrow strips of card stock to make the railing.  The flowers were made using the Boho Blossoms Punch and I used the tiny Basic Pearls for the centers.  The Happy Birthday piece was cut using the Decorative Label Punch.  I really, really love this card.

Supplies

Stamp set:  Messages for Mom
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi
Punches:  Boho Blossoms, Decorative Label, Bird Builder (leaves)
Extras:  Big Shot, Top Note Die, Basic Pearls, Sponge

Thank you for looking today, I hope you enjoyed the card!

Pinwheel Card

Hello!  I saw a video on Dawn Olchefske's blog on how to make this pinwheel card.  I dug into some more of my old DSP and gave it a try.  It is super easy to make!  The two larger squares of So Saffron measure 2 5/8" x 2 5/8".  One is mounted on top of the other one and then you add 1 1/4" squares to it tucking the corner under the one before it.
I'll definitely be making more of these!

Supplies

Paper:  So Saffron, Retired DSP, Whisper White
Stamp Set:  Message For Mom
Punches:  Boho Blossom, Word Window
Extras:  Paper Trimmer, Bliss Blue Brad (retired)

Mixed Bunch

Hello!  We had a wonderful vacation in Charleston.  I loved all the beautiful homes with their flower gardens.  They inspired me to make a few flower cards today after I got all of our laundry done!  I had seen a card made by Julie Pitta and thought I'd give it a spin.  Wasn't sure what colors I wanted to use so I pulled out my Color Coach to try something different...Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, So Saffron on a Crumb Cake background.
Don't these colors look lovely together?  I would not have thought to use them together.

Here's a closer peek.  It was great that I found some So Saffron Buttons in my retired stash.  The ribbon is old too!  I'm so glad I was able to use some of these old things that I have been hoarding.

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Mixed Bunch
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, So Saffron
Punch:  Blossom
Extras:  Linen Thread, Retired So Saffron Button and Baja Breeze Ribbon

Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!

Nature Walk

Hello!  Here's another set I haven't used for awhile.  I love how this bird looks when it is cut out and mounted with Dimensionals.  I used markers on the flowers and water color crayons and a blender pen on the bird.

I sponged the edges of the Whisper White card stock with Always Artichoke to give it a softer look.

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Nature Walk
Paper:  Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink:  Always Artichoke, Black Stazon
Markers:  Always Artichoke, Perfect Plumb
Extras:  Water Color Crayons, Dimensionals, Sponge

Wanted

Hello!  Boy it has been forever since I've used this stamp set.  I was looking for a stamp set to make a masculine card and come upon this one.  This card looks a little feminine though since I used the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.
Next time I would use the paisley stamp in the set if I was making it for a girl and just stick with the stars if it was for a boy.

Here's a closer look at the Designer Frame.  I just used my paper snips to cut out around it.

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Wanted (retired)
Paper:  Not Quite Navy (sure doesn't look like it, but it is!), Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip
Extras:  Designer Frames Embossing Folder

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Enjoy your day.

Everybunny

Hello!  I'm so very happy that today starts our spring break vacation!!  Not sure if I'll get any stamping done because we are taking a family trip to Charleston, SC.  I can't wait, we've wanted to visit there for quite awhile.  So, because we'll be gone for Easter we celebrated with my husband's family last weekend.  Here's the card I made for his mother.
It's a shutter card.  Not sure why I didn't take a photo from the front!  Oh, well.  I'm still using up some old DSP.  I was really pleased with the way this card turned out and my mother-in-law liked it too!

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Everybunny

Trellis Birthday Card

Hello!  Yesterday we celebrated the April birthdays on my husbands side of the family and I made this card for our niece, Amanda.  I love making her cards, she always has such kind things to say about them.  Thanks Amanda.  We also made this card at my Make & Take class on Saturday.  It is a lovely card idea that I got from Stampin' Connection (sorry, I cannot remember the person's name and now I can't find it again.  You would think I would learn to write down the names right away!!!)

I cut my card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2".  The outer edges are sponged with Bashful Blue ink.
