Drink Mix Holder

Image
Hello!  Things have been crazy around here.  It just seems like the days are not long enough for me to get everything done.  I've been meaning to publish this post for days now and finally sat down to get it done! I'm not sure where I originally saw this idea...could have been anywhere, so I'm sorry for not giving anyone credit for it.  I've been making these for years and love them.  They are great for little gifts/treats.

First, take a piece of 8 1/2" x 2" card stock and score it at 2" on each end.  Then you'll need a piece of Designer Series Paper (or design your own as I have here) that measures 1 3/4" x 4 1/4".

Glue the DSP between the two score lines.  Next punch a 1 1/4" hole in a contrasting color of card stock. Then punch around that hole with the 1 3/4" scallop circle.  Glue that piece onto of the end flaps.

Next take your 1 1/4" inch circle punch and punch out the center under the scallop circle.  The opposite fla…

Bright Blossoms Note Card

Hello!  Things have been very crazy around my house lately and I haven't had much time to stamp.  So I was very happy when I came up with this little note card that we will be making at my open house this Wednesday night.  I thought it turned out cute!
I used some of the new In Colors and new stamp pads.  The stamp pads are wonderful to work with!

Supplies

Stamp Set:  Bright Blossoms

Ink & Markers:  Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green
Extras:  Designer Frame Folder

Gotta run!  Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Graduation Cap

Image
Hello!  Today's card was cased from the June Stampin' Success magazine.  I have a niece and a neighbor who are graduating from high school this year and I made these cards for them.   The magazine suggested putting gift cards into the pocket, but I'm more of a cash kind of girl, so that's what they're getting.

Aren't they cute?  I love them!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets:  More Greet Greetings, Congrats (both are retired) Paper:  Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White Punch:  Extra Large Oval Extras:  Stripes Embossing Folder, Black Glitter Brad, Black Brad, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine
Thanks for stopping by today!

Clip Board

Image
Hi!  Today I'm showing you my before and after clip board photos.  I received this for Teacher Appreciation Week and wanted to "dress it up" a bit.  I already have a spring/summer looking clip board, so I thought I'd used my leftover Spice Cake DSP to make this one a fall clip board.  I just couldn't decide what to do exactly so I ended up with a simple design.
Here's the "before" photo.  I just couldn't leave it plain when I have tons of retired DSP begging to be used!
First, I cut the paper to size.  Second, I spread Mod Podge over the clip board with a paint brush.  Next, I laid the paper on top and used my bone folder to press it down and to remove any air bubbles.  After it dried, I spread another layer of Mod Podge on top to seal it.  Last, I tied some ribbon on the clip.  Very easy and now I get to enjoy this pretty paper for a long time!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Inspired by Nature

Image
Hello!  Today's card was made with the Inspired by Nature stamp set that will be retiring on May 31st. I will miss this set.  I scored the white card stock both directions every inch before stamping to give the image a tiled look.  I finally used one of my Beveled Windowpanes!  I've been hoarding these for over a year now and since they too are retiring I thought I better use at least one!!!
Here's a close up of the window pane:

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Inspired by Nature
Card Stock:  Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Stamp Pad & Markers:  Old Olive, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Extras:  Old Olive 1/4" Ribbon, Beveled Window Pane, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Stampin' Workshop

Image
Hi!  Today I am sharing some of the things we made at my last workshop.  It was a great time and we all like the way our creations turned out.
The boxes are made from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.  Each one holds about 5-6 cards with envelopes.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Pen Holder

Image
Hi!  Last week was teacher appreciation week and my school's PTO gave each of us some office supplies.  Most of them were a tad plain so I decided to make use of all my DSP and spruce them up a bit.  Today I'm sharing the pen/pencil holder.
The I wrapped the pencil holder in Spice Cake DSP (retired) and then tied Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip ribbon around it.  The owl was made with the Owl Builder punch.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Clothesline Card Holder

Image
Happy Mother's Day!  I love this day...my son and husband take care of all the meals and spoil me rotten.

Today's post was a joint effort with my husband.  I liked the way they displayed all of our samples on a clothes line at the Milwaukee Regional.  My husband does fabulous things with wood and when I asked if he could make me a small clothesline he said "sure".  After he finished the wood part, I glued some of my favorite DSP to the bases and clothespins (I found them at Walmart a couple of years ago and decided I had hoarded them long enough!).  The Rope Twine that Stampin' Up! sold a few years back worked perfectly for the strands.
The best part about my clothesline is that it is lightweight, and comes apart so I can take it anywhere!  The bases measure 4" x 4" x 1 3/4" and the wood dowels were purchased at Menards.

Thanks Kurt!  As always I love it!!!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

Hello!  Today's card was made for a Create With Connie and Mary Challenge.  It's a little early for Halloween, but this stamp set jumped out at me when I was trying to decide which one to use.
The base measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and the black strip is 1 1/2" x 5 1/2".   Very cool layout and I love the way it turned out.  This just might be my Halloween card this year.

Paper:  Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black, Tangerine Tango
Extras:  Spider Web Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Paper Snips

April & May Birthday Calendar Pages

Image
Hello!  Well not only did I miss posting my May Birthday Calendar page, but April too!  I'm not quite done with April.  I just could not decide what else I wanted to do so I've decided to leave it until later to finish.
It needs some green for sure, I wanted to do more than sponging though.  Any ideas????  Maybe raindrops...April showers?  I used my water color crayons with a blender pen to color the bunnies and chick
I love the way May turned out.  I used the new Bright Blossoms stamp set and the Boho Blossom punch.  The leaves are made with the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your day!

Mother's Day Card

Image
Hello!  My mom and I celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend.  We went out to lunch and then had Banana Cream pie at my house for dessert.  Here's the card I made for her. (Which I cased from Connie Babbert.)

I didn't have to worry about the flower falling off because I pierced right through the card and flower layers and then tied the button on with Linen Thread.    It really was a beautiful card.

Supplies

Stamp Sets:  Mixed Bunch, Delightful Dozen, More Great Greetings (retired)
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Always Artichoke, Springtime Vintage DSP
Ink:  Not Quite Navy
Punches:  Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Blossom
Extras:  Big Shot, Snow Burst Embossing Folder, Artichoke button, Linen Thread

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the card!

Altered Matchbook Notepad

Image
Hello!  Yesterday I was treated to a manicure by my niece, Holly, who has a nail blog called Holly and Polish (you can view it here).  It was so much fun!!  To thank her I gave her this little altered matchbook note pad.  She works in an office so I figured she could always use a notepad, who couldn't right?
I did not stamp at all, but I did use my Blossom and Boho Blossoms punches along with lots of adhesive! Thank you for stopping by today!

Love Note Holder

Image
Hello!  Happy Friday!  Angie Juda gave me the idea to make this Scallop Envelope Die 3 x 3 love note holder.  It is so easy to make, just adhere two of the envelopes together at the bottom and sides, decorate, and your done.  I've just started making some of the 3 x 3 note cards and I love them, they are so cute!  I think 2-3 cards with envelopes would fit nicely in it and would make a cute little gift for someone.
Here it is empty.  Don't you just love the new Summer Smooches DSP?

Stamp Set:  Family Reunion
Paper:  Summer Smooches DSP, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry
