Henry's Pinwheel

Hello!  I totally fell in love with Henry Says, a new stamp set in the 2013 Spring Mini.  While I was playing around with some of my new Stampin' Up stuff I thought it would be cute having Henry blowing on a pinwheel, another a new product in the mini.
I used the new Borders Scoring Plate to decorate the grass.  This too is in the mini, and let me tell you I love it.  I'm always looking for ways to add dimension to my cards without adding bulk and this does it.  It is very easy to work with and has a lot of different borders to use.
Another view of the grass, I used a scissors to cut along the top edge.
Pinwheel closeup.  The DSP is from the upcoming Sale-a-bration catalog.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Henry Says
Paper:  Pool Party, Gumball Green, Basic Gray, Rich Razzelberry, Sycamore Street DSP

Extras:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Borders Scoring Plate, Big Shot, Pinwheel Die, Mini Brad,
             Sponge

Thanks so much for taking time to stop by!  Enjoy the rest of 2012.

Thank You

Hello!  Wow, it has really hard for me to get back into my stamping routine!  Here's a thank you card I made with some new spring products.
I really like the Honeycomb embossing folder.  I'm hoping to stamp today and case some of the cool cards I've seen made with this.
Here's a closeup of the Sycamore Street DSP, isn't it pretty.  It can be yours for free with any $50.00 purchase during Sale-a-bration (Jan. 22-Mar. 22, 2013). The DSP tag was cut with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies, also new this spring.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Wacky Wishes
Paper:  Pool Party, Calypso Coral (Ooops! I should have used Tangerine Tango to match the DSP),
            Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP
Marker:  Island Indigo
Ribbon:  Island Indigo
Punches:  1 3/4" & 2 3/8" Scallop Circle
Extras:  Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies

Merry Christmas!

Hello!  I just finished up a little last minute wrapping and thought I'd post the results.
I wrapped these in some 6" x 8" Cellophane Bags so my in-laws didn't have to open them and risk the note paper falling out, and yet they could still see the gift that I spent hours and hours making them!  lol I figured you'd see this Cindy!!
I stamped the owl with 2012 sale-a-bration Punch Bunch stamp set and used the Owl Builder Punch to punch him out and decorate him.

Here's a sneak peek...I used the new Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die from the 2013 Mini Catalog to decorate my sister-in-law Louise's note paper holder.

I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas!  Enjoy the precious time you have to spend with your families.

Mini Note Paper Holder

Hello!  Today I'm showing you the mini note paper holders that I made.  My last post showed a couple I cased from France Martin and when I was done cutting up the note paper I had a ton of 3 1/4" x         8 1/2" strips left over...hmmm what could I do with these??  After messing around for a little while I came up with these mini ones.  I just love them, they are so cute.  They hold 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" pieces of paper.
Here are the directions:
The first step is to score a 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" paper using the measurements above.  Then punch a half of the 1 3/8" circle punch in the middle of the end with only one score line (this is to make it easier to get the note papers out once it's put together).
Side 1
Next, add sticky strip (or you could use Multipurpose Liquid glue) to each of the tabs as shown.
Side 2

Fold the box as shown.  I don't have it on here, but I also used Sticky Strip to hold down the flaps of the top part that folds down.
Add a 1 1/2" x 12" strip of DSP to the top and decorate as you wish.
Here's a closeup of one of the flowers I put on top of these.  I made them with my 1  3/4" & 1 1/4" scallop circle punches.  I made another one using The Open Sea stamp set and boy is it cute too.  I'll probably be showing you that soon too.

Supplies
Card Stock and DSP
Punches:  1 3/4" & 1 1/4" Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle
Misc:  Sticky Strip or Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Brads, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Not sure how much time I'll have to stamp and post with Christmas only days away so it will be hit or miss for the next week.  Enjoy your holidays!

Note Paper Holders

Hello!  I love making paper craft items to give as gifts, and this year I made several of these cute note paper holders for little Christmas gifts.  I got the idea from France Martin who posted a video on her blog showing how to make them.  You can view it here.
I'm always looking around for a piece of note paper and thought this would be so handy to have on my desk.  The decorating ideas are endless.  So far they've been a hit with my friends too.

I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set along with the matching punch to decorate the holder.  I cut some computer paper into 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" pieces to put inside.
Here's another one.
Supplies
Stamp Set:  Papillon Potpourri
Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Summer Smooches DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Tangerine
Tango, Rose Red, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red
Punches:  1 1/4" & 1 3/4" Scallop Circles, Elegant Butterfly, 1 3/8" Circle
Extras:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Pearl Basic Jewels, Misc. Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by.  Next time I'll share some smaller ones and a tutorial showing how I made them.

Hearts a Flutter Birthday Card

Hello!  Today is my niece Holly's birthday (Happy Birthday Holly!!) and this is the card I made for her using some of the new products that will be in the new Mini Catalog that comes out January 3, 2013.  I really like the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and matching Framelits Dies, I think they will be very versatile.
Not much of it is showing, but the Gumball Green layer has been embossed with the new Honeycomb folder.  The presents are from the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set which can be found on page 22 in the annual catalog.  The tag on the right was stamped with a solid image stamp only instead of inking it with the ink pad I inked a stamp from the Clockworks stamp set and then inked the solid image with that.  Does that make sense??
Here's the inside, I just had to add a bit of holly!

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Jolly Bingo Bits, You're Amazing, Hearts a Flutter, Clockworks
Paper:  Elegant Eggplant, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant; Markers: Gumball Green, Real Red
Extras:  Big Shot, Honey Comb Embossing Folder, Hearts a Flutter Framelits

Thank you for stopping by today.

Gift Card Wallet

Hi!  I love today's gift card project that is made with the Two Tags Bigz die.  Thanks to Bronwyn Eastley for sharing her directions!
Here's the front of the outside.  I think these would make great stocking stuffers!
Here's the inside.  Two cards fit, one on each side (sorry, I only had one to put in it).  I struggled with where to put the to/from and then just decided that it would be fine going sideways.  I folded a 3" x 9" piece of Marina Mist card stock in half and placed the fold just inside of the cut line on the die so it would stay in one piece.  I then cut two more of the top half of the tag to glue onto the outside piece to hold the cards.  I added a little trim on those two pieces for some color.

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Snow Much Fun, Family Reunion
Paper:  Marina Mist, Retired DSP, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink:  Marina Mist, Jet Black Stazon, Old Olive
Punches:  2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" Circle
Extras:  Big Shot, Two Tags Bigz Die, Old Olive Brad, Velcro, Blender Pen

Take care and thanks for stopping by today!

Updated Snowmen

Hello!  I had so much fun yesterday making more of the Snowmen Candy Holders (original post was on October 22nd). I just had to show you the hat that I made for the snow women.
I used one half of the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch and the Modern Label punch for the beanie and the white pom pom is made with the Boho Blossoms punch.
I put a candy container that was taller and deeper than a snack sized candy bar so I had to use a little strip of Whisper White card stock to hold the two tags together so they wouldn't be too short.  I scored the bottom of the tags at 1/4" and glued the scrap piece onto them there.
Some of the hats have a little button on them.  Aren't they cute?!  I love making these.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Cold Play
Paper:  Whisper White and various colors
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie and various colors
Punches:  Boho Blossoms, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, Modern Label
Extras:  Big Shot, Two Tags Bigz Die, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Assorted ribbons

Thanks a lot for stopping by!  Have a good weekend.

Last of my Christmas Cards

Hello!  Today I will show you the last of the Christmas cards that I made this year.  They have all been mailed out and I have enjoyed hearing all of the nice comments from my family and friends.  It was such a joy to make each and everyone of them.
My mom liked this so much that she chose to do something very similar for her cards this year.  There's something about these skates...they remind me of simpler times.  Oh, how I long for those days.   The Silver Stampin' Dazzle Marker was perfect for coloring in the blades.  A blender pen and a Gumball Green ink pad were used to color the holly.  The embossing folder is called Holiday Frame.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Winter Memories
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Gumball Green
Extras:  Big Shot, Holiday Frame Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits, Sponge, Cherry
             Cobbler Dazzling Details, Blender Pen

Thanks a lot for stopping by today!

Northern Flurry Sled

Hello!  Today I have a simple card to show you.  After seeing so many pretty cards made with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder I finally broke down and bought it!  I really do love it and am wondering what took me so long to order it.  After all a girl can never have too many embossing folders. Right?!

The sled from the Winter Memories stamp set fits perfectly on here.
Because I couldn't decide what color card base to use I made two, one of each.  This photo shows the Dazzling Details I added too.  I used a blender pen and stamp pads to color the image.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Winter Memories
Paper:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink:  Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Jet Black Stazon
Extras:  Big Shot, Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Dazzling Details, Blender Pen

Christmas Scrapbook Page

Hello!  I made these 12 x 12 scrapbook pages a while ago with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and some DSP.  I really haven't been scrapbooking too much this year.  Hopefully having a couple of pages done ahead of time will motivate me to get my Christmas photos done over my winter break.
This will be the left side when I put it into my scrapbook.  The base page is Cherry cobbler and the ornaments are stamped with Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Primrose Petals inks.
Here's the right side.  The pages look a little plain, but I like to mount my photos onto coordinating mats so that will add a little more color.
This from the More Merry Messages stamp set.                               I added a rhinestone to the center
I like the way this looks cut out with the Apothecary                       of this ornament for a little bling.
      Accents Framelit.

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  More Merry Messages, Ornament Keepsakes
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Snow Festival DSP, Be of Good Cheer DSP, Whisper White
Ink:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Primerose Petals
Extras:  Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Holiday Ornament Framelits, Rhinestone Basic

Ornament Keepsakes Again

Hello!  Today I have another card made with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set.  I like the look of the shiny tops that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
This time I mounted the ornaments on Gumball Green Core'dinations card stock.  After I embossed the card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper folder I sanded it with the Stampin' Sanding Block.

Here's a closeup of the silver heat embossed accent layer.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Ornament Keepsakes
Paper:  Whisper White, Gumball Green Core'dinations
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, VersaMark
Extras:  Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper folder, Holiday Ornament Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder,

Snow Festival Tag Cards

Hello!  I love the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags that are in the Holiday Mini this year.  They are so cute.  I've seen many cards made with them and decided to give it a whirl.
Here's the first one.  All I had to do was stamp "Merry Christmas".  I used the retired Snow Burst embossing folder on the Cherry Cobbler layer.  The card base is Primrose Petals.
This one was made with Soft Suede and Gumball Green card stock.  How cute is this?!!
I love them all, but I guess I'd have to say that this one is my favorite.  I used Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  More Merry Messages
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
Paper:  Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Snow Festival Designer Printed
            Tags
Extras:  Big Shot, Snow Burst Embossing Folder

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Tree Topper

Hello!  I've had a love/hate relationship with my Christmas tree topper for years and this year I decided not to use it.  Instead I've made my own and I love it!!! Change is good.  Most of you will probably think this looks exactly like an ornament I posted a few weeks ago and it is extremely close.  On this though I added a back layer of ornaments cut out of Silver Glimmer paper and the center is slightly different too.
I love the way the Glimmer ornaments sparkle when our tree lights shine on them.  The center rosette was cut with the Designer Rosette Bigz XL die and the Big Shot.  I didn't photograph the back, but I ran some floral wire through the 1 3/4" circle that all these ornaments are attached to and wrapped it around the tree branch.  It worked perfectly.   I stamped 20 of each of the two ornaments and glued four of them together to make each 3D ornament.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Ornament Keepsakes
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Silver Glimmer
Ink:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Extras:  Big Shot, Holiday Ornament Framelits, Designer Rosette Bigz XL, Cherry Cobbler Scalloped
Tulle, Linen Thread, Large Basic Pearls, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Tombow
             Multipurpose Liquid Glue
