Easter Basket

Hello!  Today's project was cased from Connie Stewart and you can view her beautiful basket and wonderful video here.  I made a few changes, and was very happy with the way mine turned out.  It is such a cute basket and I'm sure I'll pull it out again next year!
Here's the front.  It was made with just one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock and the Ovals Collection Framelits.  I used my Watercolor Crayons and a blender pen to color the bunny.
Here's a side view.  This basket is quite large and holds a lot of candy!!  I cut some thin strips of Wild Wasabi card stock for the grass.
Stamp Set:  Everybunny
Paper:  Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon
Extras:  Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, Chevron Embossing Folder, Whisper White 5/8"
             Organza Ribbon, Dimensionals, Sticky Strip

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Bunny Butt Card

Hello!  There have been so many cute "Bunny Butt" cards posted this year that I just had to make one of my own.
I used a few different punches to make this cute little gal, the pads on her hind legs were made with the Owl Builder punch.  I sponged all the edges with Pretty in Pink.  Before embossing the Crumb Cake paper, I inked the Woodgrain embossing folder with Early Espresso ink using a Brayer.  The Bloomin' Marvelous flowers and leaves were cut out by hand and mounted with glue dots.

Stamp Set:  Bloomin' Marvelous (2013 sale-a-bration)
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, Early Espresso
Paper:  Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Punches:  Owl Builder, Large Oval, Boho Blossom, 2" Circle (non SU)
Extras:  Big Shot, Woodgrain Embossing folder, Glue Dots, Brayer

Petal Cone Basket

Hi!  Today I have a little basket that I made using the Petal Cone Die and Summer Smooches DSP.  (I thought I better use some of this DSP up since it most likely won't be carried over in the next catalog that comes out June 1st.) Here are the directions:
First, cut two pieces from the Petal Cone Die.
Next, fold each one in half on the score line so they look like an ice cream cone.
Then, line up the score line at the top with the 2" line on your paper trimmer and score.
Then, line up the top score line at the 3" mark and cut off the bottom of the die piece.
Next, cut the score line that you had folded up to the new one you made to make the flaps for the bottom.
Next, trim off the little piece on the side next to the bottom flaps.
Your two pieces should look like mine above.
Attach the two pieces together using Sticky Strip.   Fold the bottom pieces in and attach with more Sticky Strip to form the box.  I then folded down the top flaps and used a piece of ribbon to keep them in place.  Decorate any way you like.  I chose the cute little chick from the Everybunny stamp set and punched it out with 1 1/4" circle punch.  I hope these directions make sense.

Stamp Set:  Everybunny
Ink:  Black Stazon and various markers
Paper:  Summer Smooches DSP
Punches:  1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle
Extras:  Big Shot, Petal Cone Die, Tangerine Tango Ribbon

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Secret Garden Card

Hi!  Today I have another card made using the Secret Garden stamp set and framelits.
I stamped the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock with Midnight Muse ink, the smaller flower was stamped off once to get the lighter color.
I stamped the top flower twice and cut out the center by hand and mounted it with a Dimensional to give it some dimension.
Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden, Vintage Verses (2013 sale-a-bration)
Ink:  Midnight Muse
Paper:  Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy stamping.

Candy Holder

Hello!  Today I have a cute project that I cased from Mary Fish.  You can view her cute St. Patrick's Day one and get the directions here.  Thanks Mary!
Here's the front of mine.  Don't you just love the 5/8" Flower Trim from the Spring Catalog?  I took my Crumb Cake Marker and rubbed it again the edges of the flowers to darken them up so they'd match the ribbon.  You can also spritz them with alcohol and ink to give them color.
Look, a Ghirardelli square fits perfectly inside.  How cute is this for a little treat for someone special?!!  I was thinking that I could make this a little taller and it would be a perfect holder for a gift card.

Stamp Set:  Four Frames
Ink:  Calypso Coral
Paper:  Calypso Coral, Tea For Two DSP
Ribbon: 3/8" Crumb Cake Taffeta, 5/8" Flower Trim

Thanks a lot for taking the time to stop by today!

Field Flowers Card

Hi!  Today's card was cased from Melissa Davies.  Her card is a little different, but I just loved the way she cut the main stamped image into three parts.
After stamping the Field Flowers stem and flowers on a 3" x 3" pice of Very Vanilla card stock I cut it at 1 1/2" dividing it equally from top to bottom.  I then cut the bottom piece at 1" and trimmed 1/8" off of the larger piece at the right.  The pieces are attached with about an 1/8" between them.  The flowers were stamped again on scrap paper, cut out and mounted with Dimensionals off center on top of the first ones.  I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla pieces with Crumb Cake ink and wrapped a piece of 3/8" Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon around the embossed Cherry Cobbler layer.

Stamp Sets:  Field Flowers,  Sincere Salutations
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Punch:  Extra Large Oval
Extras:  Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder

Supply Box

Hello!  Those of you who have stamped with me know that I am forever setting my adhesives, scissors, stamp cleaner, etc. down and have to search for them each time I need them.  Well, I have come up with a cute (at least I think so) solution.  I made a little box with dividers to hold all of my supplies.  My plan is to keep it right in front of me and put each item back when I am done with it so I can easily find it when I need it the next time!  We'll have to see how it well it works! lol
I love the Sycamore Street paper and ribbon, now I can enjoy them for a long time.  Even though this box is made of paper, it is very sturdy.  Here are the directions:
Since I wanted to keep my box on the small side, I started with a 7" square piece of card stock and scored it at 2" on all four sides.  Cut score lines as shown.
I used sticky strip to fasten the sides of the box.
Next, I cut three strips of paper measuring 4" x 2" to make the dividers.  I scored two of them at 1/2", 2" & 3 1/2".  I cut halfway down on the 2" score lines.  The third one was scored at 1/2", 1 1/4", 2", & 3 1/2".  Then I cut halfway down on the two center score lines (I scored these very lightly as I just wanted use them as a guide so I knew where to cut).
This picture shows two pieces attached at the 2" score line.  One slit is on the top and the other on the bottom so they fit together.

Here's a top view of my finished box with six sections.  The dividers were attached with sticky strip.  The nice thing about these boxes is that you can divide them into however many sections you want. I wanted some smaller sections for my piercing tool and spritzers.
The flower was made by punching Creped Filter Paper with my Scallop Circle punches.  I sponged them with Tangerine Tango before I put them together with a brad.  Love the way this paper scrunches up to make flowers!!  Well, that's it.  This was a quick and fun project to make, the possibilities are endless.
Paper:  Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade, Sycamore Street DSP, Creped Filter Paper
Ink:  Tangerine Tango
Punches:  1 3/4" & 1 1/4" Scallop Circle, Blossom
Extras:  Sticky Strip, 3/16" Metallic Brads, Sycamore Street Ribbon, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  Have a great day!!

Another Clockworks

Hello!  I thought I'd share a masculine card today.  I love the Clockworks stamp set.  This time I used silver embossing power and my heat tool on the clock case, and then I stamped the roman numerals and the hands with Black Stazon ink.  In the center I used a 1/8" mini brad.
The Basic Gray card base is stamped with Basic Gray and Night of Navy ink.  The Night of Navy card stock layer was embossed with my Big Shot and the Argyle folder.

Stamp Sets:  Clockworks, Family Reunion
Paper:  Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon
Extras:  Heal Tool, Silver Embossing Powder, 1/8" Mini Brads, Linen Thread

Hi!  Today's card is pretty clean and simple.  I have been looking at all the DSP I've bought this catalog year and thought I better get busy using it up!!
It is hard to see in this photo, but I used the Borders Scoring Plate to add some zig zags to the bottom of the card.  I used two Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some bling to my punched piece.  The ends of the DSP strips were cut with my 1" Square punch.

Stamp Set:  Family Reunion
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink:  Tangerine Tango
Punches:  Word Window,  Modern Label, 1" Square
Extras:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Borders Scoring Plate, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy stamping!!!!!!

Hello!  Today's card is cased from Carolyn Lindenmayer, who lives in Australia.  She posted her card on Stampin' Connection and I just had to make on for myself.  Thanks for the wonderful idea Carolyn!
I chose bright colors for my card while Carolyn chose pastels.  Both cards look really pretty.  Tangerine Tango is one color I almost never use, but I had this ribbon and wanted to use it!  I love this card, it would brighten up anyone's day.  I am really going to miss this sale-a-bration stamp set!!!!  It's just beautiful and you can do so much with it.

My Maggie

Hello!  Today's post not only features the beautiful Secret Garden Stamp Set and Framelits, but my Maggie too.  Maggie is 8 years old and is a Shih-poo. She is a wonderful dog, except she never wants her picture taken!  She'll turn her head just as you push the button or hide under a table or chair!  She cracks me up.  Over the last couple of months I have managed to get a couple of photos with her looking at the camera and wanted to display them's what I decided to make.
Maggie is White, Tan and Black so I chose Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake for my colors.
Each of the five panels measures 4" x 4".  I took two pieces of 4' x 11" Basic Black card stock and scored them both at 4" and 8 ".  I attached the two pieces together in the center over lapping them so the panel measured 4".  You really can't see the seam since I added a 3 3/4" square of Crumb Cake on top.
I just love how this page turned out!!!
Here are the rest of the photos.  I decided not to decorate these pages since Maggie doesn't like frills.  Each time she comes home from the groomer she rolls around until the bow comes out!  She really loves doing this when there isn't snow outside, that way she can get dirty again too!!!  Gotta love her.  Anyway, it would be easy to add some additional flowers and leaves along the edges of the photos...maybe next time.

Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden, Vintage Verses (2013 sale-a-bration)
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon
Paper:  Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Dimensionals

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Hello!  Today is a very special day in our's my son's 19th birthday.  I just can't believe he's that old already!  Here's the card I made for him...
Kyle has always been a fan of sea life so By the Tide was the perfect stamp set to use for his card.  The Tempting Turquoise card stock measures 4 1/4" x 11" and was scored at 5 1/2" & 2 3/4".  The Real Red Lobster was very bright on the Whisper White card stock, so I sponged it quite heavily to tone it down a bit.
The sea horses were stamped on scrap paper, cut out and then mounted with Dimensionals.  The ferns were stamped with Tangerine Tango and the fish with Jet Black Stazon.

Stamp Sets:  By the Tide, Wacky Wishes
Paper:  Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Early Espresso

Thanks for stopping by today!

Secret Garden

Hi!  For today's card I used the Secret garden stamp set and Framelits Dies.  I really need to play around with these two items some more, I've seen so many beautiful projects made using them.
The flowers and leaves were stamped with the coordinating ink onto card stock and then cut out with my Big Shot and Framelits.  The 5 1/4" x 4" Whisper White layer was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and then I used the Oval Framelits to cut out the center.  I wish I would have had a fancier (and current) "for you" stamp, after I used this one I didn't really like it.  Oh, well.

Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper:  Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink:  Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder

Have a wonderful day!

Baja Breeze ink was used to stamp the waves and for sponging the edges of the Whisper White card stock.  I used some Baja Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to add a little something extra to the card.

I used the coordinating Happy Whale Clearlits Die to cut the whale out and added a pearl colored with a black permanent marker for his eye.

Stamp Set:  Oh, Whale!

Ink:  Baja Breeze, Basic Gray
