Love & Sympathy

Hello!  Today I have a couple of Sympathy cards for you.  I really like this simple card and actually it could be used for any purpose.
I spritzed the entire Whisper White layer with Baja Breeze re-inker mixed with rubbing alcohol using a Stampin' Spritzer.  I love these spritzers, at $2.95 for two you can't go wrong!
Here's the first one I made.  I decided that I didn't like the Wild Wasabi oval very much so I made the top card and I like it better.
Here's the inside.
Supplies
Stamp Set:  Love & Sympathy
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi
Ribbon: Baja Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Window Sheet Birthday

Hello!  I am so excited!!!  I finally hit 50,000 page views on Creative Possibilities!  To many of you this may not seem like much, but it's a big deal to me. I really, really appreciate the support I get from family members. :)  I know that my Mom and sister-in-law Cindy are faithful followers, but no way did they visit 50,000 times, so thank you all for taking the time out of your busy days to stop by!!

When I started working on this post this morning I had a couple of sympathy cards to show you...then I thought, gee this is a happy day for me, why in the world would I post sympathy cards??  lol  So, you'll see them on Wednesday!  Everything about today's card is happy, I love it.
Isn't it fun?  I got the fabulous idea for using the Window Sheet from my upline Dawn Olechefske.  She is just full of wonderful ideas!  I embossed the Window Sheet first and then took my sanding block and rubbed lightly to sand the raised areas.
Here's a close up of the sanding.

Mini Album Cover

Hi!  Today I have the cover of a Mini Album I've started to show you.
I cut out 5 pieces of Basic Black card stock with the largest Floral Frames Framelits and then trimmed off 1/4" on the left side.  They are attached together with a piece of card stock that was scored at every 1/4" and folded with hills and valleys.  I cut another Floral Frame out of First Addition Specialty DSP and glued it onto the top piece for the cover.

The Secret Garden flower was stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink onto Very Vanilla card stock.  I punched out one Basic Black butterfly and one Very Vanilla.  The Vanilla (smaller) one was run through my Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper Folder and then mounted with a Dimensional.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Secret Garden
Paper:  Basic Black, First Addition Specialty DSP
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon
Punches:  Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Extras:  Pearl Basic Jewels, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Folder, Secret Garden and Floral Frames

Treat Holder

Hello!  Things have been a little crazy around here and I just realized that I haven't posted for a few days, so here's a quick one.  This is a little treat holder that I made last week for a friend's birthday.  (I tucked a few embellishments inside.)
This was made with a 3" x 6" piece of Sycamore Street DSP.
The "for you" is from the Pretty Petites stamp set and was punched out with the Petite Curly Label Punch.  I then mounted that onto Island Indigo card stock that was punched out the the Curly Label Punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Secret Garden

Hello!  Today's post is very similar to last Sunday's post, except I changed the location of the flowers and used a different sentiment.
Again I stamped the flowers onto Whisper White card stock and then cut them out using the Secret Garden Framelits.  The sentiment is from the 2013 sale-a-bration flyer and I used the Labels Collection Framelits to cut it out.
I sponged the edges and mounted the sentiment with Dimensionals.
Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Vintage Verses, Secret Garden
Ink:  Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Paper:  Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden and Labels Collection Framelits, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

By the Tide Note Paper Holder

Hi!  When we were on vacation I found several sand dollars and was trying to think of what to do with them.  This note paper holder was what I came up with, and I am thrilled with how it turned out!!!!
I used a Shaker Frame and a circle of Window Sheet between two Scallop circles to keep the sand dollar in place.
I stamped the images from the By the Tide stamp set with Sahara Sand ink on the same color card stock.  I thought the Natural Trim ribbon was a perfect finishing touch for this project.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  By the Tide
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand
Ink:  Sahara Sand
Punches:  1" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/4 Scallop Circle, 1 1/4 Scallop Circle
Ribbon:  Natural 7/16" Trim, Linen Thread

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy stamping

By the Tide

Hello!  I have another card made with the By the Tide stamp set.  I just can't stop using this set, I love it.
Before stamping the images on the Whisper White  card stock I spritzed it with a few drops of Tempting Turquoise ink mixed with rubbing alcohol using a Stampin' Spritzer.
If you look closely you can see the reflection of my hand in the Window Sheet that is attached to the back of the Pacific Point card stock.  I mounted that layer with Dimensionals.  I really like the 3D effect I need to use this on more of my cards.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  By the Tide
Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise,  Early Espresso
Extras:  Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Window Sheet

Secret Garden Birthday

Hello!  Today I have a birthday card I made for a friend using the Secret Garden stamp set and coordinating Framelits.  I decided to use three of the colors that will be discontinued May 31st.
I stamped the flowers, cut them (and the leaves) out using the Framelits, mounted them on the 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White card stock and then ran it through my Big Shot using the Lattice Square Embossing folder.  I loved the look of this card so much that I made another one similar to it that I'll share soon.

Here's a closeup of the flowers.
The sentiment is mounted with Dimensionals.
Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Secret Garden, Bloomin' Marvelous
Paper:  Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue
Punches:  Large Oval, Scallop Oval
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Framelits Holder

Hi!  Boy, I have really been struggling with stamper's block this past week.  We were on vacation for a week and then when I got home I just couldn't stamp.  Yesterday I decided to organize my stamping area and everything fell into place when I need to find a solution for storing my Framelits.
The box was made by cutting the thin cardboard backing from the DSP packages into two 5" x 11 3/4" pieces and one 6" x 6" piece for the bottom (scored it on all four sides at 1/2" so it fit inside the sides) and then covering them with Riding Hood Red card stock and DSP. I decided against making a top, I really like being able to just grab the one I want without a lot of fuss.
We got the Daydream Medallions stamp set at Convention last year and I hardly ever use it, didn't it make a lovely flower?!  I still have a few of the Pool Party buttons left from the sale-a-bration pack, I love using these and will be sad when I run out.
I've seen so many stampers layering the Papillon Potpourri butterflies and knew it would be a great addition to my box.
Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Daydream Medallions, Papillon Potpourri, Secret Garden (top leaves)
Ink:  So Saffron, Pool Party, Riding Hood Red
Paper:  Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Pool Party, Storytime DSP
Punches:  Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Extras:  Big Shot, Floral Frames, Secret Garden Framlits, Pearl Basic Jewels, White Baker's Twine

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy stamping.

DSP Gift Bag

Hello!  A while ago I saw this cute little gift bag on Virginie Guyon's blog and couldn't wait to make one.  It only takes one 10 1/2" x 8 1/4" piece of DSP to make it.
Isn't it lovely?  I used a Velcro dot for the closure.
Sorry this picture of my template is so dark.  It's a bright day out and I used my two lights like always...not sure what's going on.  Oh, well.  As you can see, score at 2", 5 1/8", 7 1/8" & 10 1/4" on the 10 1/2" side.  Score at 2" and 7 1/8" on the 8 1/4" side.
Cut as shown.  I used Sticky Strip on the 1/8" flap, and on the bottom flaps as well, to hold it together.
The flower was made by stamping the Calypso Coral card stock with Calypso Coral ink and then I punched it out with the Blossom punch.  After punching out the Lucky Limeade blossom I used my Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat along with the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack to punch the holes along the edge.  Doesn't it add a lot to the flower?  I love it!!!

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Mixed Bunch
Paper:  Tea for Two DSP, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
Ink:  Calypso Coral
Punches:  Blossom, 3/4" Circle
Extras:  Simply Scored Scoring Tool,  Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Occasions Paper-
Piercing Pack, Pool Party Button, White Baker's Twine

Thanks again to Virginie for the wonderful idea!  Enjoy your day.

I used my Aqua Painter and some Pacific Point ink to color the watercolor paper and then stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon and Pacific Point inks.
I used my 3/4" circle punch to punch out the center of the round image and then mounted it with a Dimensional to give it a little pop!

Stamp Set:  By the Tide
Paper:  Basic Black, Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Watercolor
Ink:  Pacific Point, Jet Black Stazon
