Thank You

Hi!  I needed a thank you card and thought I'd use up some retired DSP and my new favorite stamp set...Gorgeous Grunge.  To me this is the perfect background set, it's so versatile!
This card came together really quick for me.  It's not unusual for me to sit and futz for 45 minutes or more before I'm satisfied with a card!  The "thank you" is from the retired Wacky Wishes stamp set - this is one set I will continue to use for a long time.

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Wacky Wishes
Ink:  Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade (retired), Rich Razzleberry
Paper:  Whisper White, Summer Smooches DSP (retired)
Punch:  1 3/4" Circle, 1" Square

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy stamping.

Tag a Bag Gift Bag

Hi!  Today's post features the Tag a Bag packaging products on page 158 of the 2013-2014 catalog.  This was another Make & Take from Convention that I did at home.
When they gave us directions it said to use different colored markers on the stamped image, however I was feeling a little lazy and just used my Coastal Cabana ink pad instead, I must admit that it doesn't look as nice as the sample picture though.  I love all of the tags, twine and mini clothes pins in the accessory kit.
These bags come flat, but when you trim off the bottom edge, make two snips and a few score lines you end up with a gusseted bag!  How cool is that?!  The flat bag measures 5" x 8 1/4" so you really can fit a lot in there.  The possibilities are endless with these bags - any theme or holiday would work.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Tag It
Ink:  Coastal Cabana
Extras:  Tag A Bag Accessory Kit, Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Dimensionals, Simply
              Scored Scoring Tool

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Convention Tag a Bag Gift Box

Hi!  Here's another make and take we did at convention.  I love these boxes!  They have a clear sleeve that slides over the box so you can see what's inside if you don't want to cover it up.  It's hard to tell what size these are, just to give you an idea...I've seen some with 3 golfballs in them.
The feathers were made by punching circles then sliding them part way back into the punch and punching again making the feather shape.  Next, fold them in half and cut the fringe with your paper snips.
Here's the top view.  I really need to find time to play with these two stamps sets, I love them!

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Hello, Lovely
Paper:  Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe DSP stack
Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe
Punches:  1 3/4" & 2 1/2" Circle
Extras:  Glue Dots, Summer Starfruit 3/8" Ribbon, Paper Snips

Thanks for stopping by!

Convention Make & Take

Hello!  Today I am sharing one of the Make & Takes from Convention.  I would have never thought to make a card like this,  but I love it!!!
Isn't is lovely?  The Coastal Cabana cardstock was cut by hand using paper snips, as well as the Old Olive arrow.  A narrow piece of Silver Glimmer paper was glued onto the Coastal Cabana arrow.  This is something I never think to do...love all the great ideas I get from Convention.  Love the coordinating envelope too!
The White Baker's Twine was colored by rubbing it on the Coastal Cabana ink pad.
Even though I stamped off the Summer Starfruit inked stamp, it still came out dark, next time I might stamp off twice so it's not quite so bold.
Supplies
Stampe Sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Hello, Lovely
Paper:  Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Silver Glimmer
Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive, Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral
         Marker
Punch:  1 3/4" Circle
Extras:  Whisper White Baker's Twine, Very Vintage Button, Epic Day This & That Washi Tape

Hi!  I took hundreds of photos at Convention and thought I'd share a few of them with you.
I love the display boards!  This row of them were arranged to spell out
"SHARE WHAT YOU LOVE".
Love, love, love this board featuring the "Bring on the Cake Suite".
Look at this beautiful card Shelli shared with us!!!!
Everyone loves a
Three of us DOstamperSTARS had Midnight Muse wrist bands.  Jenny, Gayle and I (left) won the Christmas Messages stamp set and the Stamp a Tag Kit from the Holiday Catalog.
Here's a photo of my roommate, Bobbie Lawrence, and I.  We had never met before Convention, I responded to her "looking for a roommate" posting on Stampin' Connection.  What a great roommate she was, not only did she shower me with gifts...she never once complained when I hogged the bathroom!!  lol

I got some stamping done yesterday and will be posting two of the Make & Take projects from Convention soon.  Have a great day!

Record Breaking Card

Hello!  Well, I am safely home from Convention.  Boy, am I tired!!!  What a fabulous time, if you ever get the chance to go to a Stampin' Up! Convention, do it!  I was lucky enough to for the second year in a row, both times were a lot of fun, and very educational.  My favorite part is when the fabulous Stampin' Up! home office staff demonstrates our wonderful products.  How creative they are!

One special hi-light for me this year was setting the Guinness World record for sending the most cards from a single location.  I waited in line for one hour and twenty minutes with two wonderful girls from Kansas and another from Edmonton, Canada in order to do this.  While I was very tired,  I had lot of fun too. Here's the card I mailed:
My son, Kyle, should be receiving this card any day now.  I thought really hard about who to send this card to.  I have so many people in my family who are supportive so I knew I wanted it to be one of them,  and then it came to me...ever since Kyle was little he's been talking about World records, and I wanted him to be a part of setting one.  He probably won't like me saying this, but he's so much help to me when I'm stamping.  I go to him quite often for advice on which color of this or that to add to my cards.  He's always very patient with me (even when I've interrupted his listening to music), and really is a ton of help!  So, this was a thank you card letting him how much I appreciate all of his help.
Look at the Whisper White strip of card stock, I made this using the Remember This and That Rotary Stamp (only $5.95)!!!!  I love this stamp and it's so very versatile...worked out perfectly for this card,  now Kyle will always remember (because I'm sure he'll keep this card forever!!!!) which day all of the wonderful Stampin' Up! Convention attendees broke the record!  WooHoo!

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Clock Works, You're Amazing
Paper:  Smokey Slate, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Gray, Smokey Slate
Big Shot Supplies:  Argyle Embossing Folder
Punch:  Ticket Duo Builder
Extras:  Remember This and That Rotary Stamp, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by.  I got a ton of stamp sets at Convention, and hopefully I'll be able to get some stamping done this week so I can show you some samples.  :)

Convention Card Swaps

Hi!  As you all know I have been making a lot of the Sunburst/Starburst cards lately, so I'm sure it's no surprise that I chose this technique for my swaps as well.  To make the triangles I cut either 1" x 4" or 1 1/2" x  4" rectangles in half diagonally.
I again used the Epic Day This and That DSP along with coordinating colors.  I can't ever seem to make just a bunch of one card...so I tried different color combinations and I have to say that I really like them all.  :) The Happy Birthday is from the Blue Ribbon stamp set and the piece it's mounted on was cut with my Big Shot and Floral Frames Collection Framelits.  I again used the coordinating Washi Tape...not only do I like the look, but it is so easy to work with.  To add some texture I ran the Crumb Cake triangles through the Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing folder.

Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Blue Ribbon, Daydream Medallions
Paper:  Epic Day This and That DSP, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight,
             Gumball Green, Pool Party
Ink:  Basic Gray, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Gumball Green
Punch:  1 3/8" Circle
Extras:  Big Shot, Floral Frames Collection Framelits, Chevron Embossing Folder, Dimensionals,
              Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

3D Convention Swaps

Hi!  Early this morning I left for Salt Lake City to attend the Stampin' Up! 25th Anniversary Convention.  This evening I am having dinner with Dawn Olchefske and 6 other DOstamperSTARS where we will be swapping cards and 3D items.  I decided that after dinner we will all need a piece of chocolate so I made these mini candy/treat bags that contain a Lindt Truffle.
I used the Epic Day This and That DSP...I love this paper.
Here's the pattern for the mini bag.  It takes one 6 1/4" x  5 1/2" piece of DSP or card stock.
The first step is to score the DSP (see above measurements), my Simply Scored Scoring Tool works perfectly for this. Next, cut off the sections you don't need,  then cut along the necessary score lines, and last, fold on all of the remaining score lines.
Next, glue the narrow side flap to the opposite side, and all four of the bottoms flaps together.  Fill the box and tape closed (I used the coordinating Washi tape - love, love, love this stuff!!).  Then I punched a 7/8" Scallop Circle and attached it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I made some medium Simply Pressed Clay flowers (I mixed Calypso Coral Ink with the white clay) and also attached them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Last, I added the "For You" tag which was stamped with the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  I was very happy with how cute these turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Toni!

Hello!  Boy, have I been having fun making birthday cards this month.  This one is for my cousin Toni, who turns 50 today.  I just had to use silver Glimmer Paper for the 50, I love how sparkly it looks.
I did the Sunburst/Starburst technique all the way around the card this time.  The Quatrefancy Specialty DSP has a lot of bright colors in it.  They ought to cheer a girl up on her 50th birthday!  Right??!!  The Extra Large Oval punched out piece was run through my Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Supplies
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, Silver Glimmer Paper
Punch:  Extra Large Oval
Extras:  Big Shot, Typeset Alphaabet Bigz, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!!

Happy Birthday Aunt Patti!

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for my Aunt Patti.  She's a beautiful women inside and out.  :)  I've been making a lot of these sunburst cards lately (as you'll see in the next week!) and I have loved every single one of them.  This one was made using the Epic Day This and That DSP.  Love, love, love this designer series paper.
The triangles were made by cutting pieces of card stock into 1" (and 1 1/2") x 4" rectangles and then cutting them diagonally in half.  The Crumb Cake triangles were embossing with the Chevron Embossing Folder, I like how they add texture to the card.  I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the Calypso Coral card stock.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Memorable Moments
Paper:  Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight
Punches:  Large Oval, Scallop Oval
Extras:  Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder

Thanks for stopping by today.  I think I'm all done with my swaps for Convention and am very pleased with how they turned out.  I'll post them next week.  Enjoy your weekend!

Getting Ready for Convention

Hello!  I don't have a project to share with you today, however I do have a sneak peak of some of the pieces I am using on my swap cards (which I will show next week).  When demonstrators attend Convention we are able to swap cards with each other.  This is so much fun!  Not only do you get some terrific ideas, but you get to meet some really nice people.  Last year I met demonstrators from all over the United States and this year will be even more exciting...we have demos attending from several other countries as well.  This is the 25th Anniversary for Stampin' Up! and they are promising us a really exciting  Convention...I'm with over 6,000 attendees it will be a blast!
Well, I better get busy and finish stamping, punching and gluing!  Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Hello!  This card was made for my cousin (once removed) Melissa's birthday.  Both of us love the color pink so I just had to make her a card using the new In Color Strawberry Slush!
The DSP on the left side is from the Quatrefancy Specialty pack.  I used my Big Shot and the Modern Mosaic folder to emboss the card base.  The "Happy Birthday" is from the Wishes Your Way that was in the Spring Mini catalog and was punched out with the Word Window punch.
I originally stamped directly on the card, but didn't like the look.   Then I remembered that I had the Mosaic punch!  I stamped the images onto scrap paper, punched them out and mounted them with Dimensionals.  Yes, it looked so much better!!
Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Mosaic Madness, Wishes Your Way
Paper:  Whisper White, Quatrefancy Specialty DSP
Ink:  Strawberry Slush
Punches:  Mosaic, Word Window
Extras:  Big Shot, Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, White Baker's Twine

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July!

Hello!  I made three red, white and blue rosettes to brighten up my dinette table a bit.  They aren't too fancy, but they'll do!
I used the Designer Rosette Bigz XL die and my Big Shot to make the rosettes.
I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set, the Elegant Butterfly punch, Pacific Point ink and some Pearl Basic Jewels to make the butterfly on this Real Red rosette.
The Whisper White rosette has a flower from the Secret Garden stamp set that was cut out with the coordinating Framelits with a Large Basic Pearl for it's center.
The Pacific Point rosette flower has a "4" from the Memorable Moments stamp set inside of a bottle cap.
One last photo of the three of them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful 4th of July!!

Sunburst Birthday

Hello!  Well, we are home from our wonderful trip to Northern California and Southern Oregon.  These are two very beautiful states!  We had a ncie and relaxing time and I can't wait to scrapbook the 250 photos I took...well, maybe I won't scrapbook them all!  lol

Today's card was inspired by many different stampers and page 110 in the 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog.  It is so easy to make...I cut 1 1/2" x 4" rectangles in half diagonally to make the triangles for the sunburst.
I used Quartrefancy Specialty DSP and coordination card stock on this card.  What a fun card!
Supplies:
Stamp Set:  Label Love
Paper:  Quartrefancy Specialty DSP, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and
            Whisper White
Ink:  Strawberry Slush
Punch:  Artisan Label

Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely Happy Birthday

Hello! I've been wanting to make a card like this for a long time now. Not sure what took me so long, but I'm glad I finally made it...
