DOstamperSTARS #067 Challenge

Hello!  Today's another DOstamperSTARS challenge day.  I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with.  Here's the sketch we were given.
When I first saw this sketch I thought this will be super easy (I love sketches)...not so.  Nothing was coming together for me, but I did know that I wanted to make a Valentine card.  After messing around for a couple of days, I finally came up with two designs.
I used the Gorgeous Grunge and Hearts a Flutter stamp sets.  The little hearts were made with the small heart punch.  Here's my second card:
Again I used Gorgeous Grunge on the background and the globe is from Love You More stamp set.  The narrow strip of Baked Brown Sugar was run through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain folder.

Check out the other DOstamperSTARS:  (I will post links as soon as I can)

Stamp Sets:  Love You More, Hearts a Flutter, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink:  Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar
Paper:  Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Coastal Cabana, Raspberry Ripple
Punch:  Small Heart
Ribbon:  3/8" Stitched Satin
Big Shot:  Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Woodgrain Folder

Thanks for stopping by!

Tag It Card in a Box

Hello!  I made this cool card for my Mom for her birthday which was on Thursday.  Happy Birthday Mom!

Isn't it cool?  I watched this video made by one of my fellow DOstamperSTARS, Robyn Rasset, to learn how to make it.  I'd seen some of these around and thought, "too much work", but Robyn made it look really easy with her tutorial.  Thanks Robyn.
This DSP is called Birthday Basics and the box base is Gumball Green.  Two stamp sets were used, Tag It and Blue Ribbon.
I used the smallest of the Banner Framelits Dies (2014 Occasion Mini) for the Mom and Grandma banners.
Here's the back of the card/box.  I like how there's a lot of room to write a message and sign names.  This folds up flat for mailing, but you really need a big envelope that will require extra postage (I didn't mind though...my mom's worth it!).  I might try and make a smaller one to fit in a standard envelope...we'll see.

Stamp Sets:  Blue Ribbon, Tag It
Paper:  Gumball Green, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Birthday Basics DSP
Ink/Markers:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumball Green, Basic Gray, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit,
                       Bermuda Bay
Punches:  1 3/4" Scallop, 1 3/8" Circle
Big Shot:  Ovals Collection and Banners Framelits

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today!

DOstamperSTARS Challenge

Hello!  Today is a DOstamper STARS color challenge.  I have to admit that I would have never picked these three colors to work with.  (Which is one of the reasons I love these challenges, they get me to try things that I normally wouldn't.)  As a matter of fact, I bet I still own most of my original pack of Tangerine Tango!  Anyway, when I pulled out a sheet of each of the colors I was shocked,  they look awesome together!
It really took me all week to figure out what I wanted to make, finally I had an inspiration...one of our Art teachers at school is expecting so I decided to make her (and her husband, our PE teacher) a card.  I love the Zoo Babies stamp set and the new Banner Framelits Dies so I thought I'd use them together.
This little bird was too cute not to use, but I decided to use circle punches with him instead of the banners.  I used markers to color the bird and then stamped a second one in Coastal Cabana so I could cut out the wing and glue it on.

I will add links to Dawn Olchefske's and my fellow DOstamperSTARS blogs when I get home from work today so you can see their cards too.  I can't wait, it's always so fun to see what everyone comes up with!

Stamp Set:  Zoo Babies
Paper:  Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana
Ink/Markers:  Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana
Punches:  1" & 1 1/4" Circle
Big Shot:  Banner Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
Extras:  White Baker's Twine (dyed with rubbing alcohol and Tangerine Tango Ink)

Today is my Mom's Birthday and I'll be posting her card on Saturday.  We both thought it was pretty cool!  Boy, I was pretty chatty today! Thanks for stopping by!

Last of the Baby Scrapbook

Hi!  This is the final posting of the mini baby scrapbook that I made for my friend.
These two pages and the envelope in the center were made with the retired Storytime DSP.  It was really hard for me to cut this paper up...all the pages were so cool.  I was going to add photo mats, but I just could get myself to cover the cute images on the card stock!  lol So, I left them blank and my friend can cover them with cute photos of her grand-baby.
Here's a Zoo Babies page.  I think the all of the stamps in this set are so stinkin' cute.  Once again I used the Fringe Scissors, but this time I trimmed the fringe with my paper snips.  The branch that the monkey is hanging from is part of the Bird Builder Punch.

Well, that's it for this mini scrapbook.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby Scrapbook

Hi!  I have a couple of more pages from the baby scrapbook to share today...
I just love these two pages.  I used Crisp Cantaloupe for the base and Pistachio Pudding for the fringed grass.  The Fringe Scissors from the 2014 Occasions mini are a big hit with me, love them!  This stamp set is called Love Bug.  It is so old that it's not even dated!  I used the 2013-2015 In Colors to color the bugs in.
These two pages (the one on the right is an envelope) I left plain except for the Scallop Trim Border punched pieces on the sides.
The page on the left is the back side of the envelope that I made with the SU! Envelope Punch Board.  The elephant is from the Zoo Babies stamp set and the cutest baby ever is from the Label Love stamp set.

That's it for today.  As always, thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.  :)

Just Sayin' Birthday

Hello!  I love, love, love this card that I made for my sister-in-law (Happy Birthday Cindy!!) with the Just Sayin' stamp set in the 2014 Occasions Mini.  The stamp set has coordinating Word Bubbles Framelits Dies too!!
I used the Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Pistachio Pudding card base which you can also find in the mini.  All of the colors on the card are from the 2013-2015 In Color Collection.
Aren't the little banners cute??!!  You can get the stamp set and punch during for free during Sale-A-Bration which is coming soon.

Stamp Sets:  Just Sayin', Banner Blast
Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush
Paper:  Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding
Punch:  Banner
Big Shot:  Arrows Embossing Folder, Word Bubbles Framelits

DOstamperSTARS #065

Hello!  Today is Thursday so that means I have a DOstamperSTARS challenge to share with you.
I used the Spiral Flower Originals Die (2014 Occasions Catalog) to make the flowers, which was really fun!!  I wish I would have stuck something (like a pearl) in the center to cover up the blob of hot glue that I used to hold them together.  Oh, well...these were the first ones I made, I'm sure I'll get better with practice!  I'm going to try and make some smaller ones by rolling them tighter.
Here was this weeks inspiration photo.

Another view of the flowers.  I used the Little Leaves Sizzlits and the Bird Builder Punch for the Gumball Green leaves.  This card was for my Mother-in-laws birthday, my husband had to hand deliver it though...no way was this baby going in the mail!

Stop by my fellow DOstamperSTARS blogs to see their beautiful creations:

Stamp Set:  Itty Bitty Banners
Ink:  Real Red
Paper:  Real Red, Gumball Green, Rose Red, Whisper White
Punch:  Bird Builder
Big Shot:  Little Leaves Sizzlits, Spiral Flower Originals
Extras:  Tea Lace Paper Doilies

Baby Mini Scrapbook

Hello!  I can't seem to stop making these mini scrapbooks!!  It's a great way to use up some of the DSP I have hanging onto.  :)  This one is for a friend at work who will become a Grandma for the first time soon.
Here's the cover.  I used my new Banner Framelits Dies - love these.  Also, it's hard to see but I embossed the Whisper White banners with a Sale-A-Bration folder called Decorative Dots.
I used the Labels Collection Framelits for this Whisper White piece and the stamp set is from 1996 and is called Cuddles & Tickles!
Here's the last page I'll share today.  The same stamp set and Framelits were used on this page too.  I used two retired markers to color in the baby.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you on Thursday with another DOstamperSTARS challenge.

Final Scrapbook Pages

Hello!  I have the final pages of the mini scrapbook to share today.
I made a coordinating pocket to put between these two pages.  I like the trim I added to the bottom and the bow to the front.
Once again a piece of card stock slides out; you can use both sides for a note or photograph.
I used the retired Language of Friendship to decorate this envelope and page.
I used a stamp from the You're Lovely stamp set which is a Sale-A-Bration set this year.  I cut the stamped image and the backing with my Big Shot and Deco Labels Collection.

Well, that isn't all of the pages of this scrapbook, but I think I'll stop with these.  I have been working on a mini baby scrapbook this past week which I will share this week.

Thank you so very much for stopping by!!

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #064

Hello!  Today I have a card that I made for the DOstaperSTARS Sketch Pad Challenge.  This wasn't really what I had in mind when I first saw the sketch (I was thinking of lots of color), but this is what I ended up with...
I've had Valentines on my mind and I thought these colors (Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple) would work with that theme.
The heart is from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and was cut out with the coordinating Framelits.  It is really hard to see, but the Primrose Petals card stock was embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

Stamp Set:  Hearts a Flutter
Ink:  Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Paper:  Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Punch:  Scallop Edge Border
Extras:  In Color Dahlias, Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Modern Mosaic folder,
             Hearts a Flutter Framelits

Thanks for stopping by today.

My Special Pocket

Hello!  Today I am going to share the envelope pocket I made for the mini scrapbook to hold my card.
Both Melissa and I really liked the retired stamp set Henry Says so it was a no brainer when it came to designing my page.  :)  Again I used the Envelope Punch Board to make this pocket.  A mini velcro dot holds it closed.
Here's the card I made.  I used Henry Says along with the Pinwheel Sizzlet to decorate it.
These two pages are pretty simple with just some trim added to the edges.
I used the Secret Garden Framelits to make these coordinating flowers.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!

Still More Scrapbook Pages

Hello!  Here are some more pages for the 5 x 7 mini scrapbook.
The pocket on the left was made with a 7" x 10 1/2" pice of DSP.  I scored it at 5" and 10" and used adhesive on the 1/2" flap to form the pocket.  You can put photos or write a note on the Whisper White insert.  The flap on the right is just for decoration.
I used banners made with the paper of the opposite page to decorate these two pages.  I reinforced each page where the ring holes were punched so they wouldn't tear.
I love this little pocket!  Look below to see how it looks inside.

Thanks for stopping by!  I still have many more pages to share later this week.

More Mini Scrapbook Pages

Hello!  On the right side you'll see a new gadget for the 2014 Occasions Mini Catalog.  There are some really cool things in it!!!  I just placed an order and already I'm seeing more things that I wished I'd ordered!  Take some time and enjoy browsing through it.  Now, here are some more scrapbook pages.
I used the Envelope Punch Board to make some envelopes that I used for pages too.  Notes and photos can be placed inside and mounted on the outside as well.
Here's what the envelope looks like when opened.
Even though it looks clean and simple, I love the page on the left.  I punched out some 1" circles from one of the DSP pages and mounted them on a 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punched piece.
On the left page I added a 1" strip of the DSP used on the right page.   I added a simple, single flower on the lower right hand corner.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!  Stay warm this weekend!!

DoStamperSTAR Challenge

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made for a DoStamperSTARS challenge.  I am so excited about this card, I love the colors and am really happy with the way this turned out.
I used the Secret Garden stamp set and Framelits to make this card.
I mounted the Bermuda Bay flowers with Dimnensionals.  Everything else was mounted with my old standby, Multipurpose Liquid Glue (I use this on everything, it's a guaranteed hold).

Stamp Sets: Secret Garden, Express Yourself
Paper:  Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay
Extras:  Big Shot, Secret Garden and Circle Card Framelits

Thanks for stopping by!  On Saturday I'll share more of the Mini Scrapbook.

Happy New Year

Hello!  Last night we attended a going away party for my cousin who is moving to Ireland (lucky girl!) and I made this 7" x 5" mini scrapbook for her take along with photos and notes from those of us who will miss her.  Here's the cover (made out of chip board and DSP).
This DSP is a retired pattern called Floral District and I love it!  I just had to make the cover pink since that's Melissa's favorite color (mine too!).  This stamp set I received at 2012 Stampin' Up! Convention.
I kept a lot of the pages blank since I wasn't sure what photos and notes people would be bringing to add to it.  On the left I used my Big Shot and Labels Collection Framelits for the mats.
I used the Papillon Potpourri and You're Lovely (from the 2014 Sale-a-bration catalog) stamp sets along with the Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches to decorate these two pages.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be sharing more of this album this next weekend.  Stop by tomorrow to see the card I made for a DoStamperSTAR challenge.
