Hello!  The above photo was this weeks inspiration for our Thursday Challenge and here's my card...
I haven't made one of these "quilt" cards in awhile and knew as soon as I saw the picture that I had to make one using the same beautiful colors.  Can't you just picture this quilt hanging on a clothes line on a warm summer day with butterflies fluttering by it?
The little images from the Hello Lovely stamp set were the perfect size to fit into my 1" squares.  I punched two of each of the butterflies and curled up the edges of the stamped ones before mounting them onto the bases with Dimensionals.

Hey There!

Hello!  I made this card for my cousin who recently moved to Ireland.  She had heard that we made a fox card at our last make & take class and when I asked if she'd like one she said she would.  Man, that was a long week waiting to hear that she finally got it in the mail! lol  Glad you like it, Melissa!!
I stamped the fox with Jet Black Stazon ink and then used a blender pen and Cajun Craze ink to color him in. I sponged the edges of the Soft Sky card base with the same color ink.  Still lovin' these Fringe Scissors!

Stamp Sets:  Life in the Forest, Just Sayin'
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi
Paper:  Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Big Shot:  Word Bubbles Framelits Dies
Extras:  Sponge, Fringe Scissors, Paper Snips (best scissors ever!!!)

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

DSC #070

Hello!  It's another DOstamperSTARS sketch challenge day.  The possibilities were endless with this one, but this is what I came up with... I choose to work with Sweet Sorbet DSP and the coordinating colors.  Both the DSP and the You're Lovely stamp set are Sale-A-Bration items.  The sentiment has been left off this card because I wasn't sure what I wanted to use it for.  Did you notice that I used ribbon on the card??!!  lol  I colored the flower by dipping my Blender pen onto my ink pads.

Washi Tape Holder

Hello!  I finally got sick of picking up my Washi Tape rolls off the floor and made a box to store them in!!  For months they've just been sitting on the edge of my counter right in front of a drawer unit and they constantly fall off.  I've seen many different styles of these, but just decided to add a little DSP to one of the Tag a Bag Gift Boxes and call it a day. I love the Gingham Garden DSP so I decided to use that to cover the box.  I really like how the plastic sleeve just slides right off so I can grab which ever roll I want and pull it out.  I wrapped a piece of Washi Tape around the cover for a little decoration.  I used the new Spiral Flower Die to made a Melon Mambo rose.  The Pear Pizzazz was punched out using the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle.  I punched two and sponged the edges, then I cut one between each of the scallops so I could curl them up. Here's a close up of the flower.  I added a large pearl to the center and sponged the edges too.

Mini Milk Carton Valentine DSC#069

Hello!  I decided to kill two birds with one stone again and made a Valentine treat holder while fulfilling this weeks DOstamperSTARS color challenge.  I can't tell you the last time I pulled out my Mini Milk Carton Die or used my Simply Scored Borders Plate, but I decided to put them to use too, so, I guess that's three birds!  Here's the weekly challenge...
and here's what I made... (I just have to say that this looks so much better in person.)  I used Smokey Slate for the Mini Milk Carton and used Melon Mambo for the trim piece on the bottom.  It's really hard to see, but I did use the Simply Scored Borders Plate on the Melon Mambo piece.  The only thing I had in Pink Pirouette was a marker, so I used that to ink my stamps (not my favorite way to that, but what can you do?!). Here's another view.  I didn't think to add the little hearts on the milk carton until after I had it glued together which made it a little difficult to stamp on!  The little banner…

Life in the Forest Valentine

Hello!  I decided to try a different card fold for this cute valentine that I made for my son.  Isn't the mouse cute??
The 4 1/4" x 11" card base was scored at 5 1/2" and then I trimmed off 1 1/2" on the front panel.  The DSP on the inside is 2" wide, leaving the other 3 1/2" for my sentiment.  I was so excited that my sentiment from the Yippee-Skippee stamp set fit perfectly in one of the new Word Bubble Framelits!!
The Pool Party heart was stamped with the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and then cut out with the coordinating framelits.  I mounted the mouse with a Dimensional.

Stamp Sets:  Hearts a Flutter, Life in the Forest, Yippee-Skippee
Paper:  Real Red, Pool Party, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Retired DSP
Ink:  Black Stazon, Pool Party, Primrose Petals, Baked Brown Sugar (marker)
Big Shot:  Hearts a Flutter and Word Bubble Framelits

Banner Blast Valentine

Hello!  I have a Valentine card to show that I absolutely love!!!
It was made with three of the Sale-A-Bration items.  First, the cute little banners were punched out with the Banner punch.  The second, fourth and sixth banners were stamped with the coordinating Banner Blast stamp set.  The card base was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder.
The "Love ya" was made using the Just Sayin' stamp set and Word Bubble Framelits Dies.
Supplies Stamp Set:  Banner Blast, Just Sayin' Ink:  Real Red, Pool Party Paper:  Whisper White, Pool Party, Real Red Punch:  Banner Big Shot:  Word Bubbles Framelits Dies, Decorative Dots Folder Extras:  Linen Thread, Dimensionals
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.  Happy stamping.

Hello!  I have another challenge card to share today.  These challenges are not only inspiration for me, but so much fun too!  Here's my card... First, I stamped some leaves onto the Whisper White card base and then ran it through my Big Shot in the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (2014 Sale-A-Bration).  Second, I cut some leaves out of Old Olive card stock with the Secret Garden Framelits.  Next, I used Black embossing powder and my heat tool to make the flowers (I also cut them out with the Secret Garden Framelits and my Big Shot).  Then, I mounted the flowers with Dimensionals.  Last, I made the "happy birthday" punched image. Here's a close up of the flowers.  I used my Bone Folder on the leaves to curl up the edges a bit.

Valentine Card in a Box

Hi!  I just had to share this cute Valentine in a box that we made at my stamping class yesterday.  Last week I posted a birthday card in a box that I made following a friends recipe and mentioned that I might make a smaller one.  Well, I did it!  This size fits into a Medium Stampin' Up! envelope and you only need a 8 /12" x 11" piece of card stock to make the base.
I love this card!  Each side measures 2 1/2" across.  Here's how I made it:
My paper size is 10 1/2" x 5 1/2".  On the long side I scored at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" & 10".  Rotate and score at 2 3/8" on the 5" side.  I put the 1/2" score line at the top and stopped scoring as I reached the last score line (2 1/2").  As you can see I cut off the small tab on the top right.  The bottom tab will be used to glue the card together to form the box base.  The smaller flaps go on the top and will fold down towards the outside of the box.
 Use your bone folde…
