Thank You Note Card

Hello!  Today I am sharing my final Guest Star project that I made using a Note Card & Envelope.  Once again I chose the So Very Grateful stamp set, only this time I used the smaller image.
I like the simplicity of this card.  The image was stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink and then colored in with the 2013-2015 In Color Markers.  The "Thank You" was stamped with Baked Brown Sugar ink. A portion of the image was stamped on the lower left hand corner of the envelope and colored with the same markers.

Hello!  Todays DOstamperSTARS challenge was a color one.  I love Gumball Green, but I will admit that the other two are not my favorites, so I wanted to make something really fun and I love it!  I've seen so many of these  flower bouquets, but Erica Cerwin had a really nice one on her blog that caught my eye so I should give her credit for the inspiration.
I used the Spiral Flower Die, Fringe Scissors and 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch to make the flowers and greens.  The box is a 8 1/2" x 4" piece of Natural Composition Specialty paper that was scored at 2", 4", 6" & 8" on the long side and at 2" on the other.  I snipped the bottom four score lines up to the middle score line and then folded it to make a box. 7/16" Trim ribbon was used to wrap around the box and a smaller piece was tied in a knot for the bow.

Take a minute and check out my fellow STARS to see what great ideas they came up with this week:
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Hello.  Today I am sharing one of the many sympathy cards I have been making lately.  These cards are the hardest for me to make, I want them to comfort the receiver as well as celebrate the life of the loved one they have lost.  Since I didn't know my co-workers mother, I made a card that reminded me of her.  She always has a no nonsense subtle glow about her.
I used my Subtle ink pads with a Aqua Painter to color in the Jet Black Stazon image on the Whisper White card stock.

Stamp Sets:  So Very Grateful, More Great Greetings (retired)
Paper:  So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder
Extras:  Aqua Painter

Hello!  Here's my DOstamperSTARS challenge card for today...
I used the Extra-Large Oval punch to make the eggs and the Circle and Oval Framelits to make the basket. The bunny is from the Life in the Forest stamp set and the grass was cut with the Fringe Scissors. A blender pen was used along with ink pads to color the bunny. This was really fun to make and I was pleased with the way it turned out.  :)

Check out some of the other DOstamperSTARS blogs to see what they made:

Stamp Sets:  Life in the Forest, Delightful Dozen
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, Wild Wasabi
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi,
Soft Suede, Soft Sky, Quatrefancy Specialty DSP

                 Lattice and Chevron Embossing Folders

So Very Grateful Gift Box

Hello!  Today I am sharing my third project that I made for our DOstamperSTARS.
Isn't it cool???  lol  I've had these boxes since last summer and hadn't used on yet (the more I like something, the less likely I am to use it!  I know, I know...strange.)    I stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock, colored it with my 2012-2014 In Color markers and then trimmed around it.  The flower in the center was made with the new Spiral Flower Originals Die and the leaves were punched out using the wing from the Bird Builder Punch.
The Midnight Muse card stock was cut approximately 1/2" smaller than the panel I glued it to, and I ran them through my Big Shot using the Sale-A-Bration Decorative Dots embossing folder.  To make opening the box easier I only wrapped the ribbon around the lid.
 Another view.
Stamp Set:  So Very Grateful
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon, 2012-2014 In Color Markers
Paper:  Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
Big Shot:  Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Spiral Flower Die, Circle Card Thinlit
Ribbon:  Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin
Punch:  Bird Builder
Extras:  Kraft Gift Boxes

Thanks a lot for taking the time to stop by!!

Banner Blast Scrapbook

Hello!  Something a little different today, a 12 x 12 scrapbook page starring our little princess, Maggie.
I used the Banner Blast stamp set and the Banner punch from this years Sale-A-Bration catalog along with some Whisper White Baker's Twine to decorate this page.  The "miss you already" sentiment from the Just Sayin' stamp set was a perfect way to express Maggie's sadness when our son left to go to back to college.
I love this stamp set and I'm sure you'll still see me using it long after Sale-A-Bration ends.  :)

Stamp Sets:  Banner Blast, Just Sayin'
Paper:  Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink:  Marina Mist
Big Shot:  Word Bubbles and Apothecary Accents Framlits
Punch:  Banner

So Very Grateful Banners

Hi!  Here's another project that I made using the So Very Grateful stamp set.
I used my 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers to ink my stamp and then stamped the image onto Whisper White card stock.  The Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was used on the card base and all of the banners were cut out using my Big Shot and the Banners Framelits Dies.
On this closeup you can see that I added some pearls to the center of the Primrose Petals flowers.  I love these colors and am really going to miss them.

Stamp Set:  So Very Grateful
Markers:  2012-2014 In Colors
Paper:  Whisper White, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit
Big Shot:  Banners Framelits, Arrows Embossing Folder

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Hello!  What does the fox say? Today is my son's birthday and here's the card I made for him...
I love making these fox cards.  This is a step up from the last one I did.  I added another row of fringe at the bottom and used Baked Brown Sugar card stock for the tree trunks.  Before inking the "hey there" stamp from the Just Sayin' set I placed a piece of tape over the words and then removed it before I stamped the image onto my card stock.  That way I just got the frame and was able to stamp the "happy birthday" from the Express Yourself set in the center.  It's hard to see but I sponged the edges of the grass and the card base.

Stamp Sets:  Life in the Forest, Express Yourself, Just Sayin'
Paper:  Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar
Ink:  Wild Wasabi, Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky, Cajun Craze (marker)
Big Shot:  Word Bubbles Framelits Dies
Extras:  Fringe Scissors, Blender Pen

Hello!  It's another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  I really love these challenges, not only do they inspire me to try new things, but I love seeing what my fellow stars have come up with!  Here's my card for today...
I decided to use a 5" x 3 1/2" Note Card, and look, I even stamped the front corner of the envelope!  I haven't used this stamp set in a really long time, but one of our STARS shared a card recently using this set and it inspired me to pull mine out.  :) I love working with the Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim Ribbon and it is so very pretty.

Here are the links to my fellow STARS blogs:

So Very Grateful Frame

Hello!  During the month of March I have the honor of being the guestSTAR on Dawn Olchefske's group (DOstamperSTARS) Facebook page!!!  How exciting right???  I will post a project each Saturday on that private page and then I'll share it on this blog the following Tuesday.  Here's the first project...
I love, love, love this frame!  It turned out exactly like I was hoping it would.  : ) Here's how I made it:
Using the Labels Collection Framelits I cut: 1 Watercolor paper out with the 2nd largest frame, 2 Midnight Muse using the largest frame, then take one of the Midnight Muse pieces and cut out the center using the 3rd largest frame. I have two smaller Midnight Muse pieces for the back support pieces, one measures 2" x 4" (scored at 1/2" on one of the 2" ends) and the other is 1 1/2" x 2" (both of the 1 1/2" ends scored at 1/2").  You'll need some scrap Water Color paper for the smaller image.
I stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon and colored them using a Blender Pen and my ink pads. You can use an Aqua Painter as well.  As you can see I cut out the smaller image and a couple of extra flower centers.
I mounted the Watercolor paper to the back frame piece and added Dimensionals to the back of the front frame piece.  Then I mounted the front piece on top of the back.
Here's how I mounted the support pieces onto the back of the frame.
Here's a closeup of the bottom, you can see that I added some pearls, and it's hard to tell, but I did add an additional layer to the center of the largest flower.

Stamp Set:  So Very Grateful
Ink:  2012-2104 In Colors
Paper:  Midnight Muse, Watercolor Paper
Big Shot:  Labels Collection Framelits
Extras:  Dimensionals, Pearl Basic Jewels, Simply Scored Scoring Tool

Hope you liked this project, thanks for stopping by today!!

Gingham Garden Washi Tape Birthday

Hello!  I made this card for my friend Carol's birthday.  Carol and I met at the 2012 Stampin' Up! Convention and have maintained our friendship through cards and Facebook!
The flower was made with Washi Tape!  I attached the tape to some Whisper White card stock and then punched out the flower.  It turned out really cool, I liked the texture and shine!  I'm sure I'll be making more of these.  :)  I used the same bright colors to stamp with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set on the lower right hand side.

Stamp Set:  Gorgeous Grunge, Blue Ribbon (flower center)
Ink:  Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Paper:  Whisper White
Punch:  Blossom
Big Shot:  Little Leaves Sizzlits
Extras:  Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape, Dimensionals

Thank you so very much for stopping by!!
