Love & Sympathy

Hello!  Today I am sharing a sympathy card that I made for a co-worker a couple of weeks ago.
I inked the stamp with markers and then lightly spritzed it with water before stamping the image onto Watercolor paper.  The edges were sponged with Artichoke ink.  The Wisteria Wonder layer was run through my Big Shot in the Framed Tulips folder. I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut out the sentiment, sponged the edge and mounted it with Dimensionals.Supplies Stamp Set:  Love & Sympathy Paper:  Watercolor, Very Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Always Artichoke Big Shot:  Ovals Collection Framelits, Framed Tulips Embossing Folder Extras: Sponge, Dimensionals

Happy Birthday

Hello!  Happy Easter!  Today also is my goddaughter's Birthday, so I thought I'd share the card I made for her.  Happy Birthday Amanda!
I hadn't made a card in a box awhile now and thought it would be nice for her.  Can you guess what I used to make the balloons???  The candle flames were made with the Bird Builder Punch's wing and the balloons were made using the Ornament Framelits Dies.
Here's what the back of the card looks like when it is folded flat. Since the card was too large for an envelope I made one using my Envelope Punch Board.  It was a perfect fit! Here's the front.  I made a belly band to keep it closed and added a matching clay button for a little decoration.Supplies Stamp Sets: Perfect Pennants, Label Love Paper:  Birthday Basics DSP, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Crisp             Cantaloupe, Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla Ink:  Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray, Raspberry Ripple Punch:  Bird Builder Extras:  Simply Pressed Clay and Mol…

Scalloped Tag Easter Basket

Hello!  I've seen so many cute baskets made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch that I just had to make something myself.  Here's my Easter basket idea...
They measure 2 1/2" x 2"and hold quite a few pieces of candy.  I used Mini Brads to fasten the Crisp Cantaloupe handles.   The Small Oval Punch was used to make the eggs and then I stamped them with matching ink using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  The bunny is from the Life in the Forest stamp set, and of course I used the Fringe scissors to make the grass. Here are the cutting and scoring directions.  I should have noted that you need to cut two of the middle pieces (3" x 1 5/8").  Let me know if you have any questions.
Supplies Stampe Sets:  Life in the Forest, Gorgeous Grunge Paper:  Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper              White, Sweet Sorbet DSP Ink: Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Blushing Bridge …

Easter Treat Holder

Hello!  Here's an easy treat holder to make using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
The best thing about these are that you can make them any size you want.  I made my base 1" deep so it would stand up nice.
I decorated the front with some eggs that were stamped then punched out with the Small Oval Punch, tucked them behind some Pistachio Pudding grass that was cut with the Fringe Scissors, and added a "Happy Easter" greeting.

Stamp Sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Delightful Dozen
Paper:  Sweet Sorbet DSP, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, Pistachio
Ink:  Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ribbon:  Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim
Punches:  Modern Label, Scalloped Tag Topper

Hello!  Look at this beautiful picture that was the inspiration for this weeks DOstamperSTAR challenge...

I absolutely loved it!!!  What a great challenge.  Here's what it inspired me to make... I'm quite fond of these colors and using the By the Tide stamp set was a no brainer for me.  :)  I sponged the edges of everything and used my Bone Folder on the two pennants to soften them a bit.  What I really wanted to do was crumple them, but I just couldn't make myself do it!  lol   I tied Linen Thread around both pennants and cut out the Night of Navy shell and mounted it with Dimensionals.
Now, for my favorite part...check out my fellow DOstamperSTARS to see what they made this week:Sharon BennettMiriam BollingerRobyn RassetMichele HCindy TechlinJan CarlsonDawn Olchefske
