April Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  I got my Paper Pumpkin kit for April the other day and thought I'd get one of the cards made right away.  My son is going to give this to his Dad for Father's Day.
This month's kit comes with these card/tag holders.  I got the idea for the shirt and bow tie from, Heidi Baks, a fellow stamper on Stampin' Connection.  All I did was cut in 1/2" from the top on each of the sides and folded them in at an angle so it looks like a shirt collar.
Here's what the card/shirt looks like.  Just a word of advice...stamp the buttons before putting the bow on!!!  It really bugs me that they are not evenly spaced, but my son didn't say anything and I doubt my husband will notice! lol
Finally, here's the inside of the card.

Hello!  Today is a DOstamperSTARS color challenge...

I've used another stamp set I bought in January that I haven't used much, thought I better make use of it before it's retired!  I'm really going to miss the Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush colors.

The Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine was a bit bulky for my card so I pulled it apart and just used one section of it - I like the wavy look.

Head on over to my fellow STARS blogs and see what they did with these three colors:

Crazy About You

Hi!  I have a birthday card to share with you today. Gotta love the  Hello You Thinlits Dies! I used some Sale-A-Bration DSP to make this and a Calypso Coral Blendabilities marker to color the pearl, so a couple of the supplies are no longer available.  Sorry about that, I just can't not use them!

From the Herd

Hello!  I can't believe I haven't shared a card using this stamp set knee surgery really got in the way this time around.  Anyway, I loved this set and ordered it right away and finally I've used it to make a birthday card.
I have to admit that I used the Blendabilities markers to color it in even though they are no longer being sold.  This set comes with many fun sayings too.
