Watercolor Wings Bookmark

Hello!  Today I am sharing the bookmark that I made to go with my journal.  It turned out even better than I hoped!
Here it is!  I stamped the butterfly the same way as I did on the journal, except I added the top layer.
You can't see, but there are magnets on the inside of each of the flaps to hold the bookmark in place.
Here is how it looks with the journal.
Stamp Set:  Watercolor Wings
Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Blushing Bride
Paper:  Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
Big Shot:  Bold Butterfly Framlits, Butterflies Thinlits, Flower Fair Framelits
Extra:  Pearl Basic Jewels

Watercolor Wings Mini Journal

Hello!  I made this journal to keep track of my summer goals and I just love it!!!!  The flower stamp set and the Designer Series Paper I used were both from the 2015 Occasions Catalog, and are no longer available.  However, the butterfly is from the new Watercolor Wings stamp set which is in the 2015-2016 Stamping' Up! catalog.
Didn't it turn out nice?  I'm thinking I need to make some more of them and give them as gifts.  One of my next projects is a matching bookmark so I can find my next page to write on!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi!  This was a fun challenge for me - and I even outdid myself by using a little bling!  That's going to be a goal of mine for the next few challenges - we will have to see how long I last.  :-) I am a clean and simple girl, so it's a struggle for me. lol

Not sure if you can see or not, but I did run the Whisper White layer through my Big Shot with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  (It actually got put in their upside down, so my dots are recessed instead of raised.  Oh, well, it's ok. I still liked the look - I was just having one of those days!) The rhinestones are colored with a marker (you can use whatever kind you prefer).

I can't wait to see what my fellow STARS have done with these colors, check them out:

Stamp Set: Flower Patch
Ink:  Island Indigo, Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon
Paper:  Island Indigo, Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Whisper White
Big Shot: Decorative Dots
Punch:  Banner Triple (love this punch)
Extras:  Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Thank you so much for taking time out your busy day to stop by - I appreciated it!

June 2015 Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  I got my Paper Pumpkin kit on Saturday and today I had some time to make a couple of the cards.  I pretty much stuck to their instructions for these two, although I've seen some cute alterations out there using this kit.
Here's the first one. Isn't it cute?  You can see part of the envelope to the right - I went a little overboard stamping the back flap, but I like it.
Just a close up!
Here's the more masculine looking one.  You can see the envelope liner in this photo. (Sorry it's so dark, not sure what happened.)  The stars and matching pennant shapes are a thin wood! Very cool.

It is a cute kit this month and makes 8 cards.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day

Hello!  Since it's Father's Day today I thought I would share a couple of cards I made.
The DSP is already retired...yep, I ordered it in January and hardly used it, so I am using it now.  My husband and step-father won't care! lol However, the banner greeting was punched with the new Banner Triple Punch!  The stamped image in the upper left corner is from the Lovely As a Tree stamp set.
The die for the leaf on this card is also retired.  The "Happy Father's Day" is from the Crazy About You stamp set. I used Sahara Sand cardstock for both of the card bases.

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by!

DSC# 137

Hello!  When I saw the photo for this week's challenge I knew that I had to use the Sheltering Tree stamp set. I wasn't really sure what I was going for, but this is what I ended up with...
I used two of the 2014-2016 In Colors - Lost Lagoon and Mossy Meadow - that I have hardly touched.    The picture really doesn't do these two beautiful colors justice.

Stop on over and visit some of my fellow STARS and see what they did this week:

Stamp Sets:  Sheltering Tree, And Many More
Paper:  Whisper White Thick Cardstock, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon
Ink:  Early Espresso, Basic Gray, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon
Extras:  Sponge

Summer Decorations

Hello!  A couple of weeks ago I had a day all to myself, so I decided to make a couple of summer decorations (to me this means - red, white and blue!).  I was very happy with how they turned out.
I used the new Gift Bag Punch Board to make the vase for these flowers.  The white flowers were made by cutting a 2" strip of Whisper White card stock with my Fringe Scissors and then rolling it up around a wire.  I took my Bone Folder and curled the edges a bit.  The blue flowers were cut using the Stars Framelits and my Big Shot.  I curled the edges of these too with the Bone Folder.  The red flowers were made using my Big Shot with the Spiral Flowers Originals Die.  The ribbon has been retired for years - imagine how excited I was to use some of it!!!  The green leaves were cut using the Flower Fair Framelits and my Big Shot.  This little arrangement looks nice on my dinette table if I say so myself!

For years I have been looking for the perfect candy dish for my counter- I will know it when I see it- until then I keep making these Berry Baskets with my Big Shot and the Berry Basket Bigz L Die.  I also used the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlits.  Love this one - it looks super with the white Lifesavers I have in it too.

That's it for today.  Gotta go stamp some more...it's raining out, perfect day for stamping!  Thanks for stopping by!

DSC#136 Endless Birthday Wishes

Hi!  It's a DOstamperSTARS challenge day today.  I really struggled with this sketch...it bothered me to cover up part of my oval!!  What can I say??!!  LOL  I did do it though, here's what I made.
I love the Cherry on Top DSP, such fun colors.  I cut the little candles out of another sheet of DSP in the packet (no easy feat let me tell you - they are small!).  I really like the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set - it is very versatile and has 25 words and 2 images in it.  I will be using it for more than just birthdays.

Check out what my fellow STARS have done with this sketch:

Stamp Set:  Endless Birthday Wishes
Paper:  Cherry on Top DSP, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder
Big Shot:  Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Ovals Framelits

May's Paper Pumpkin

Hi!  I realized that I never shared May's Paper Pumpkin kit with you.  This has been one of my favorite kits so far.  It came with enough supplies to make 4 gift bags and 6 cards.  Here's what they look like.
Isn't this bag cute?  The two balloons that look yellow are actually cut out and the yellow is the tissue paper that was also included in the kit.  It's hard to tell, but I mounted the orange balloon with Dimensionals.
Here's the card.  I followed their directions except for the orange circle, I added that piece.  What a cheery card!  Each kit includes a stamp set, this months is really cute.
Here's a side view of the bag. It is a nice size and very sturdy.

Well, that's it for today.  If you like this kit maybe you would like to sign up for Paper Pumpkin.  New subscribers have until June 10, 2015 to get their first two months at 50% off.  Just go to PaperPumpkin.com and use the promo code SAVE50!  I'd really appreciate it if you chose me as your demonstrator, just sayin'.  :)

DSC#135 Build a Birthday

Hello!  It's a lovely color challenge today.  These colors seemed like a good color combo for a masculine card, and it just so happened that I needed to make a birthday card for my uncle.  I decided to use a new stamp set called Build a Birthday.

I love how I was able to write "uncle" on the banner cake top!

Check out what my fellow stars have been up to with this challenge:

Stamp Sets: Build a Birthday, Age Awareness
Paper:  Soft Sky, Whisper White, Retired DSP
Ink:  Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand
