DSC#166 Birthday Blooms

Hi!  As you can see we have a Sketch Pad challenge today. I decided to open up one of my new stamp sets and packs of DSP for this one!
The Birthday Bouquet DSP has some beautiful patterns in it and I love all the colors.  This sketch was a little busy for me so I picked some of the less busy patterns for the card. I stamped the flower image and then colored it in using a blender pen and my ink pads.
I mounted the butterfly and sentiment with Dimensionals to add a little dimention to the card.  A couple of pearls would have been nice to add to the butterfly, but I am all out! Yikes, I am finding that they are not a good thing to run out of! :/

If you have some time go and take a look at what my fellow stars have been up to this week:

Stamp Set:  Birthday Blooms
Paper:  Whisper White, Pool Party, Birthday Bouquet DSP
Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Soft Suede, Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Pool Party
Punch: Scalloped Tag Topper

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Hello!  Today is my mom's birthday so I thought I would share the card I made for her.
I love everything about this card, I can't believe I made something so pretty!! Thank you Stampin' Up! for making it so easy!!!  There is something extra special about this card. Take a good look at the DSP banner toward the bottom.  See the leaf on the left and the two Cajun Craze flowers on the right?  Now take a look at the sample of DSP below.
Did you notice how the leaves do not have any detail on them, and that the flowers do not have centers? The Botanical Blooms stamp set has stamps that coordinate with the DSP so you can stamp on it!  Just like I did on the leaf and flowers.  Cool, huh???!!!!! Since these items are in the Occasions Catalog I am going to have to stock up on this DSP because SU! usually does not carry over DSP from one catalog to the next.  Sure hope they make an exception this time. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they carried over the entire suite? ;)

Stamp sets:  Botanical Blooms, Butterfly Basics (Happy Birthday)
Paper:  Botanical Gardens DSP, Hello Honey, Mosey Meadow
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze
Big Shot:  Botanical Builder Framelits

Thanks for stopping by today!

DSC#165 Bloomin' Love

Hello!  We have an awesome color challenge today.  These colors are in the Love Blossoms DSP and I had intended to use that paper, but as you can see I ended up doing something different.
I used the Bloomin' Love stamp set and the coordinating Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies. I cut the heart out of Garden Green card stock and the flowers out of Blushing Bride and Rose Red card stock.  The pearls are a nice touch I think.  The edges of the flowers are sponged, but it's a hard to see.

Check out what my fellow STARS have done with these colors:

Stamp Set: Bloomin' Love
Paper:  Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Rose Red
Big Shot: Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies
Extras:  Pearls

Happy 90th Birthday! (DSC#164)

Hello!  Today is my mother-in-law's 90th Birthday!  WooHoo!  Here is the card I made for her.
I used the new Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits Dies to make the card.  I was so happy with this card!! As soon as I saw this set I knew I had to buy it to make her card.  I think it will come in handy for a lot of years.  It can be used for anniversaries too!

I didn't have time to make a card so I wasn't going to join this week's DOstamperSTARS challenge, but then I realized that this card had some of the colors in the throw in the photo and I think it looks like a "sweet card"! Plus my mother-in-law used to knit!!  ;)

Check out what my fellow STARS have made this week:

Stamp Set:  Number of Years
Paper:  Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink:  Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Old Olive
Big Shot:  Large Numbers Framelits

Party Wishes Birthday

Hello!  I made this card back in November at the Milwaukee On Stage Event.  We were able to use the new products in the Occasions Catalog and to be honest this product suite didn't really grab my eye, but look how cute this card is!!
The stamp set coordinates with the Party Punch Pack.  It's hard to tell from this photo but the balloon,  candle and the cupcakes are all punched out.  I love how the punch fits the stamped image exactly with no white edges showing. The Basic Black/Mint Macaron Baker's Twine is pretty cool too!

Stamp Set:  Party Wishes
Paper:  Mint Macaron, Whisper White, It's My Party DSP
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron
Extras:  Baker's Twine Combo Pack

That's it for today post.  Hope you like the card.  Happy stamping!!

It's here, my favorite time of the stamping year...Sale-A-Bration!  Between now and March 31, 2016 with any $50 purchase you get to choose one free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!!  No limits either!  Take a look at what you can earn here.

As a demonstrator I am able to pre-order new products and also earn Sale-A-Bration items.  Look this notepad I made using the two free products I earned on page 12.
I love this Wildflower Fields DSP and coordinating Flowering Fields stamp set.
Here's the inside.  I love keeping little notepads in my purse, they come in so handy!

That's it for today! Let me know if you have any questions or if you want to place an order.

Number of Bones

Hello!  Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for my grand-nephew.  He turned one today -  Happy Birthday Carter! The No Bones about it stamp set was perfect for a little boy card.  I also used a new set, Number of Years, that will be available on January 5th in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.
The Number of Years stamp set has a coordinating Die set too!  Yippee! That is what I used to cut out the number 1.  The dinosaur was fussy cut and mounted with Dimensionals along with the 1.

Stamp Set:  No Bones about it, Number of Years
Paper:  Pacific Point, Whisper White, Island Indigo
Ink:  Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Real Red
