Hi!  It's a sketch pad challenge today.  I wanted to make another card using my March Paper Pumpkin kit, so as they say...I am killing two birds with one stone!
I wish you could see this in person, it is really very pretty paper. I mounted the small sentiment layer with Dimensionals to give it a little pop!

Check out what my fellow STARS have done with this sketch:

DSC#174 Birthday Blooms

Hello!  What a nice color challenge we had for today.  All of the colors are in the Birthday Bouquet DSP so it made it easy for me to decide which paper to choose.

I loved Dawn's card from last week so much that I just had to try the drapery fold technique for myself.  I stamped the flower with my Basic Black stamp pad and colored it in with ink using my Blender Pen.

I can't wait to see what my fellow STARS have made with these colors, you can check them out too:
Stamp Set:  Birthday Blooms
Paper:  Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron

March Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  I love the paper in this month's Paper Pumpkin kit!!!  It includes a versatile stamp set and makes 8 cards and 8 gift card holders.  I'm thinking I will work on some alternate projects for this kit since I can't see myself using that many feminine gift card holders.  Here's what I have made so far:
Here's the outside of one of the gift card holders.
Here's the inside.  The little card slides in perfectly with plenty of room for a gift card too.
This card measures just under 4 1/4" x 5 1/2 and fits into a beautiful envelope with a pocket for a gift card.  I didn't show the envelope because once you seal it I don't think you can open it again without ruining it.  (I will show you later.) Anyway, while I was putting on the pearls I realized that I had the inside of the front flap resting on an opened ink pad. :( Bummer.  It turned out ok because I trimmed the front off of the card and mounted it onto some coordinating cardstock and I love it!  See below.
Looks good, right?!?  LOL

Well, that's it for today.  Stop back on Thursday for this weeks DOstamperSTARS blog hop.

Sky is the Limit Birthday

Hi!  I thought I would share the birthday card I made for my son a couple of weeks ago.  I struggled with this card and finally it came together, my son must have thought so too because his eyes lit up when he saw it!  Gotta love that boy, he has been one of my biggest supporters.
The card base is Shimmery White.  I stamped the clouds first and then watercolored the entire front with Soft Sky ink.  Next I stamped the trees and the sentiment.  The plane was stamped onto Whisper White card stock, cut out and mounted with Dimensionals.  I stamped the propeller part of the plane onto White Vellum cardstock and after cutting it out with a circle punch I mounted it with another Dimensional - it looks so cool in person!

Supplies
Stamp Set: Sky is the Limit, Lovely As a Tree
Ink:  Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky
Paper:  Shimmery White, Vellum, Whisper White
Extras:  Aqua Painter

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

DSC#173

Hello!  Check out this week's challenge.  Great teapots, right?!  The Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies would have been perfect for this one...unfortunately I didn't buy them.  I wasn't going to join this week's challenge, why bother when I didn't have the dies...then I remembered the cute Paper Pumpkin kit from last July, it had a teacup!  So, this is what I made...
I was very happy with how this card turned out!  I stamped the cup image onto some Wildflower Fields DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and cut them out.  The center cup is mounted with Dimensionals, and I also cut out some flowers and mounted them with a Dimensional too.  It really looks great in person if I say so myself! LOL

Take a few minutes and check out what my fellow STARS made this week...I bet some of them used the teapot die!

Thanks for stopping by!

Timeless Thank You

Hello!  My son needed a thank you note so I used the new Timeless Textures stamp set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog to make one for him.  It's simple, but we both were pleased with how it came out.
It is a single layer card and I used the 2014-2016 In Color Collection inks.

That's all I have for today.  I've been busy stamping this weekend - boy it feels good!

DSC#172 Big News

Hello!  This sketch pad challenge sure came in handy this week. I needed to make a card to go with the baby scrapbook I shared earlier and this worked out perfectly.
I did use some retired DSP on this card, but both stamp set are current.  I love the sentiment! What baby isn't big new??!  Love the little booties too.

Check out what my fellow STARS have done with this sketch:
Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Something for Baby, Big News

More Baby Scrapbook Pages

Hello!  As promised, here are more of the baby scrapbook pages that I started showing on Sunday. For some reason I only photographed one page of each spread.  The other side that you cannot see is the same, but flip flopped.
The sentiment is from the 2016 Occasions Catalog - Apple of My Eye. The bib was cut out using the Big Shot and Baby's First Framelits and Hearts Border Punch.
Love this bunny I made using the Friends & Flowers stamp set and coordinating Festive Flower Builder Punch.
Check out the bee I made using the Playful Pals stamp set and Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies with my Big Shot.  The wings were cut out of White Vellum cardstock.
I really like this spread.  The smaller black page in the middle is separate - just a little page to add a couple of smaller photos.  Everything I used to make this page has been retired except for the little white flowers, they were cut out using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.
Ah, some current products! The butterflies were cut out using my Big Shot and the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinits.  I used the Butterfly Basics and Botanical Blooms stamp sets.  Love those ferns!
So, here's the last page.  Did you notice that I didn't use any pink yet?  It killed me, but my friend is not a pink person.  While Rose Red isn't really pink, it filled my need to use some girly color.  I mean what's a baby girl scrapbook without pink???  lol  I thought the Love Blossoms DSP was perfect for some girly onesies!  They, and the booties were cut out using the Baby's First Framelits.  I used a retired punch to make the lacy trim.

Well, that's it.  Hopefully she will like it.  Thanks for stopping in today.

Baby Girl Scrapbook

Hello!  I got to work on one of my favorite things to make the past couple of weeks. One of my co-workers is having a baby girl and I just had to make her one of my mini scrapbooks.  I think this is my favorite one yet!
Here's the cover.  I will start out by saying that probably all of the DSP I used to make this has been retired.  The letters were cut using my Big Shot and the Little Letters Thinlits.  The baby carriage is from the Something for Baby stamp set. Can you see that I used 3 rhinestones on the carriage?  I thought a baby girl could use a little bling!
I love these two pages.  They were made using the Secret Garden stamp set (retired) and coordinating framelits.
Once again I used the Little Letters Thinlits along with some circle punches.  The duck is from the Something for Baby set too. I sponged the edges of the circles to soften then.
Here's the last set of pages that I will share today.  It's hard to see, but I used some retired ruffled Crisp Cantaloupe ribbon - one of the many spools of ribbon I've bought, but just couldn't stand to use it until it retired! lol

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to visit. Stop back on Tuesday to see more pages.

Another Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  Here's is another card I made using February's Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I used a couple of the framelits from the Ovals Collection set for the sentiment.  Look at the cute stamps that were included with this kit - I especially like the swirly flower that I stamped in Pool Party!

That's all for today.  I have been working on a big project and will hopefully be sharing those pictures next week!  Thanks for stopping by.
