DSC#178 Birthday Blooms

Hi!  I really liked today's sketch, here's what I came up with...
This did not turn out exactly how I imagined, it's a little too busy for me.  I really love the Birthday Bouquet DSP though, and I'm thrilled this stamp set has carried over into the new catalog!!  I used a Blender Pen and my ink pads to color the flower and leaves.

I can't wait to see what my fellow STARS have done with this sketch:
Stamp Set:  Birthday Blooms
Paper:  Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Birthday Bouquet DSP
Ribbon:  Pool Party 3/8" Glitter
Big Shot: Botanical Builder Framelits

DSC#177 All About Everything

Hello!  We have a nice color challenge today.  I decided to use the bonus stamp set that came with the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  I liked one of the examples so much that I CASEd it.

I cut out the flower with my paper snips and mounted it with a Dimensional.  The flower pot was made using scraps of Kraft cardstock and a little piece of Tea Lace Paper Doilies.

Check out what my fellow STARS have been up to this week:

Stamp Set:  All About Everything (Paper Pumpkin)
Paper:  Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Kraft
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz
Extras:  Tea Lace Doilies

April Paper Pumpkin

Hello! Look what I made with my Paper Pumpkin kit this month...
This month they gave us an extra stamp set to celebrate Paper Pumpkin selling their 1 millionth kit. (It is a really nice stamp set.)  Anyway...I took two of the words from that set and used it for my wreath-I firmly believe that it's important to celebrate the little things in life. Since I'm hanging this in my stamping room year round I didn't want to use the Happy Mother's Day or Happy Spring stamp that was included in the kit. That's the great thing about Paper Pumpkin, you can make it your own or follow the directions down to the last detail.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Boy Mini Scrapbook

Hi! Today I am sharing one of the baby boy scrapbooks I made.  Once again, there are retired stamps and paper used.
Here's the front cover.  I used the Something for Baby stamp set and coordinating Baby's First framelits.

Everything here is retired and the hands stamp is not Stampin' Up!

I used the Banner Triple Punch to make the banners.

I love these pages.

Ah, finally some current stuff.  Love the No Bones About It stamp set.

Another favorite of mine...Zoo Babies!  I double stamped the elephants ear and mounted it with a Dimensional.  Making the grass was easy using my Fringe Scissors!

I really like this retired stamp set, I've been using it since my son was a little boy.

Last page...I used my Big Shot and Stars Framelits on this page.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.  FYI - since some of the STARS are in Salt Lake City this week for On Stage we are not having our blog hop this week.  We have a great color challenge scheduled for next Thursday.

My Favorite Baby Scrapbook

Hello!  I have been asked to make 7 of my baby scrapbooks for coworkers and I have been having so much fun working on them.  This one is my most favorite so far.  I think it's because of all the pink and I love this retired DSP.  Just a warning...there is a lot of retired product used, I will only list the ones that are still available in the current Stamping' Up! catalogs.
For the cover I used the Baby's First Framelits and the two coordinating stamps sets:  Made with Love and Something for Baby.
These pages used the same stamps and framelits.  I love the socks!
These two images from the Made with Love stamp set fit nicely into the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I made the tags using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.
This page is my favorite!  For those of you who don't know me...I'm a pink girl!  The stamped image is from the Friends & Flowers stamp set that is in the 2016 Occasions Catalog (available only until May 31st).  It has a coordinating punch called Festive Flower Builder Punch.
I used the Bold Butterfly and Butterflies Framelits which coordinate with the Watercolor Wings stamp set.
The Sheltering Tree stamp set was used for these pages. The grass was cut with the Fringe Scissors.
The Banner and Banner  Triple punches were used here.
Once again I used the Banner Triple punch along with the 7/8" Scallop Circle.

That's is for today.  Since these books are all I have been working on, I will be sharing the rest too!  Thanks for stopping by!

DSC#176 By the Tide

Hi!  When I saw this challenge I immediately grabbed my By the Tide stamp set and got to work.
Can you see the raised piece of the cardstock? I've been seeing so many beautiful cards made using technique everywhere and decided to give it a try on my step dad's birthday card.  All you have to do is stamp on your cardstock, and then cut out the piece using two different size framelits.  The piece you cut out is mounted with Dimensionals so it pops up! Easy peasy!

Let's hop on over and see what my fellow STARS have been up to this week:

Stamp Sets: By the Tide
Paper:  Pacific Point, Whisper White
Ink:  Pacific Point, Tip Top Taupe, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango
Punch:  Washi Label

Butterfly Basics CASE

Hello!  We had a DOstamperSTARS Facebook event this past Friday night and one of the challenges was to CASE (copy and share everything) a card from the catalog.  There is a card on page 124 (2015-2016 annual catalog) that I have been wanting to make all year - this was a great excuse to finally do it!
Isn't it beautiful?! I made a couple of changes and I am thrilled with how it turned out!  This was fun, I going to do it again.

Stamp Sets:  Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Paper:  Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Kraft Cardstock, Gold Foil
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, White
Big Shot:  Butterflies Thinlits
Punch:  Banner Triple
Ribbon: Calypso Coral Baker's Twine (retired)
