Botanical Birthday

Hello!  I spent some time cleaning my stamping room today, and when I removed some retired items from my current shelf I decided to use them to make my BFF a birthday card.

Boy, this picture isn't as nice as the actual card. :( I used one of the Botanical Builder Frameflits dies to cut the bottom edge of the Whisper White Layer. Pretty cool, huh?! I love how big the sentiment from the Botanicals For You set is.

Here's a picture from a little different angle, it shows the Watermelon Wonder flower layers better.  The edges of the flowers were sponged with coordinating ink.

Stamp Set: Botanicals For You (Sale-A-Bration 2016)
Paper:  Mint Macaron, Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White
Ink:  Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach
Big Shot:  Botanical Builder Framelits

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!!

New Product Project

Hello!  My Stamping Up! upline, Dawn Olchefske, sent each of her STARS this packet in the mail. It included the new Whisper White Thick Baker's Twine and Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape (love these colors and patterns!). Thank you Dawn!!!!
The challenge was to use the products however you wished and then post a photo to our team page.  This has been so much fun!  I love seeing what my fellow STARS have made with these products,  we all have done something different. Here's mine...
I sponged the edges of the flower with Watermelon Wonder ink and put the White Perfect Accents piece in the center (I was hoping it would hide the Dimensional I used to mount it, but as you can see a little bit is still showing - next time I will trim it a bit).  The Thick Baker's Twine will be perfect for tying gift bags - it is really strong.  It's hard to tell, but the dots on the second from the bottom piece of Washi Tape are shiny copper!  I used the Endless Thanks stamp set for the "Thank You", I love the leaves and flower that come with it that I stamped on the back of the notecard envelope.

Thank you for stopping by!

Finally - May's Paper Pumpkin

Hi!  Things have been a little crazy in my life this past month, so it wasn't until this morning that I had time to open my May Paper Pumpkin kit.  I have to say that this month the stamp set is awesome...I will be using it for years! The kit came with enough supplies to make 8 cards.

It just so happens that I need a birthday card for my uncle next month, so I made this for him.

Here's something I almost never show...the inside!  I really like the font for this set too, it's nice that the words are easy to read.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend.  I'm excited about Monday's post, so be sure and stop back!

Hi.  As you can see we have a sketch challenge today.  I made another thank you card for my son to use.  This turned out even better than I hoped it would, love it when that happens!

I ran the Elegant Eggplant card base through my Big Shot in the Arrows embossing folder.  Once again I have used the graduation cap that came with my March Paper Pumpkin kit.

Check out what my fellow STARS have been up to this week:

Endless Writing Notes

Hello!  My son graduated from college yesterday and needed a couple of thank you notes.  Here's one  I made for him.
I used the Writing Notes stamp on a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Whisper White card base.  (I am crazy about this stamp - I can't wait to use it on a another project I have in mind.) It's hard to see from this photo, but it is laying on top of a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock, which is the color of the larger circle also.  The little graduation cap is from a Paper Pumpkin kit, boy have I gotten a lot of use out of it!

Stamp Sets:  Writing Notes, Endless Thanks
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant
Paper:  Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant

Mother's Day Gift Box

Hello!  Happy Mother's Day!  I made these little treats for my mom and sister using the Gift Box Punch Board.
I used the Banner Triple Punch and my trimmer to make the tags.

The stamp set and DSP were from this years Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I used an 8" x 8" piece of paper to make 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" boxes, this size was perfect for holding a few pieces of my favorite candy.

DSC#179 Watercolor Everything

Mom - Don't Peek!!!!!!! LOL

Hello! I was pretty excited about this week's challenge.  It screamed watercolor paper at me.  This is not something that I am good at, I've tried and tried, but it just never turned out.  Well....I'm not usually one to give up, so I tried again...I think I finally did it.

I decided to use the All About Everything stamp set again that I used a couple of weeks ago.  This set was perfect for this technique.  (Actually I've realized that most of my current sets are ones that you color in.  I need to keep that in mind when I shop the new catalog.) The Curvy Corner Trio Punch worked great to soften the top corners.

As always, I'm excited to see what my fellow STARS have done - check them out:
Stamp Sets:  All About Everything, Lovely Little Wreath (both are from Paper Pumpkin kits)
Paper:  Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Watercolor
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride, Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
Punch:  Curvy Corner Trio
Extras:  Stampin' Spritzer

Last Baby Girl Mini Scrapbook

Hi!  I feel so bad not posting much lately, but I'm thinking you are all getting a little tired of all these baby scrapbooks. Anyway, I'm finally done making the mini baby books for this customer and thought I would share a couple of pages from this one.

The cover, of course.

I used the Playful Pals stamp set for these two pages.  The dots were added using Blushing Bride ink and the Dots stencil.

I love how these pages turned out.  I used the Made with Love stamp set.

I thought the sentiment from the Watercolor Wings stamp set was perfect for a baby book.

I also liked this sentiment from the Sprinkles of Life set.

That's it for this one.  A lot of the paper is retired and few other items as well. Thanks for taking time to stop by!
