DSC#196 Swirly Flowers

Hi!  I have to say that this color challenge was quite a shock to me since I have been working on so many Christmas cards lately! What a wonderful color combination it was to use with my Swirly Birds stamp set.

I decided to use a 3 1/2 x 5 note card today, and I left the lower right hand corner empty so I could add a sentiment later on.  If you look closely you might be able to see that I used my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the Watermelon Wonder swirls - it really adds just the right amount of sparkle!

Stamp Set: Swirly Bird
Paper:  Whisper White Note Card, Pear Pizzaz, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder
Ink: Pear Pizzaz, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder

Framed Jar of Love

Hello!  I went to a house warming party yesterday and made this framed Jar of Love as part of the gift.

The jar band was heat embossed with silver embossing powder - I like the way it shimmers. It is hard to see, but I  mounted some of the flowers with Dimensionals to give the piece some dimension.  It only took me about an hour to arrange the flowers!!!  LOL  Thank heavens that I didn't need to cut them out - gotta love coordinating framelits!

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Jar of Love
Paper:  Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay
Big Shot:  Everyday Jars Framelits
Extras:  Retired Ribbon, Heat Tool, Silver Emboss Powder

DSC#195 Gingerbread Men

Hello!  As soon as I saw this week's challenge I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  I can't get enough of the cute gingerbread man and he worked out perfectly for this card.

Since I knew I was going to be mailing this card I decided to keep it clean and simple - in other words - no pearls for their eyes. The Big shot and Layering Square Framelits made this layout so easy.

Hop on over and check out what my fellow STARS have done with this challenge:

Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Christmas
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Ink:  Early Espresso, Garden Green
Big Shot:  Layering Squares Framelits
Extras:  Dimensionals

Thanks for joining our blog hop today, hope you had fun!

Note Card Box

Hi!  At the end of July I posted some note cards that I made and promised to share the box that I was going to put them in.  Well, here it is!

The lid is on the top left and on the bottom right is the bottom with the note cards and the coordinating envelopes inside.

When you have Simply Scored Scoring Tool it is so easy to make boxes.  Here's what both the top and the bottom look like cut out and scored.  The base of the box measures 5 2/8" x 6 6/8" and the top measures 5 3/8" x 6 7/8".  Both of them are scored at 3/4" on all sides. (Since the top is 1/8" larger, it will slide easily over the bottom of the box.) Cut the tabs and adhere them to the side to form a box. See, easy, right?!

This is a view from another angle so you can see the sides.  I'm sure there is room for at least 5 note cards and their envelopes.  I think this will make a cute gift for someone.

August Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  I got my Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail yesterday and had some time this morning to make one each of the three different cards. I have to say that these look beautiful in person.  Must admit that at first I went "eh", but after I made each one I said, "Wow! These are really pretty!" I think I will turn a couple into fall birthday cards.  Ok, enough chatter...
This month you get enough supplies to make 9 cards.  Here's the first one, which also happens to be the largest  4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  The wooden leaves are so cute!!!  I love all the textures with the two ribbons.

The second card is a notecard size.  This one has a wooden flower.  I really like all the layers on this one.

The last type of card is just too cute!  You can write a note on the mini index card and then place it inside the pocket along with a gift card if you want.

Well, I really liked those wooden leaves and thought, gee someone is just going to through out this card (although I have been told by family members that they save my cards) with the leaves on it. So, I decided to use a set and put them on this mini note paper holder. That way they will at least look at them for a couple of months! LOL

I used the same colors of card stock that were used in the kit to make this.  I stamped on the belly band and on the circle that I glued the leaves to. I'm hoping the person I'm sending this to likes it as much as I do! ;)

To see how I made the note paper holder click here.

If you haven't already signed up for Paper Pumpkin and would like to, now is the time.  From now until October 10, 2016 when you buy your first months kit, the second month is free.  I have to say that the fall months are usually my favorites.  If you decide to join I would greatly appreciate you picking me as your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you liked the cards!

DSC#194 Cookie Cutter Magnets

Hi!  Wow! I am super excited about today's punch challenge!!!!  As SU! demonstrators we get to pre-order new products, and today's project was made using the new Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder punch.  I almost passed this set up, I just wasn't sure if I would use enough, but my Mom really liked it so I went ahead and ordered it.  Boy, I am so glad that I did, I have been having a blast with it.  (And...there's also a Halloween stamp set that coordinates with the punch too!!!)  Anyway, here's my challenge....

This is actually a refrigerator magnet  (am I the only one who still has some on her refrigerator?) that will hold a photo.  I thought a cute picture  taken with Santa would be really nice inserted into the frame.  Isn't the gingerbread man cute????  I used some pearls for his eyes and the bow tie and heart buttons are a part of the punch.

Here's a Santa one. In hind sight I wish I would have added a tree, although I could add one easily enough! It doesn't show up in this photo, but t did use my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the fur and Santa's beard add a little sparkle.  Don't you love this new Candy Cane Lane DSP?  Each piece is as cute as the next.

Ok, I went a little crazy making these, but I couldn't not show you the reindeer!!!  Oh. My. Gosh. These little guys are too cute, and they will be perfect for making cards and gift tags too.  There's also a teddy bear and a cute little Eskimo, which will show soon.
Let's go check out what punches my fellow STARS have used this week:
Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Christmas
Paper:  Real Red, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Ink:  Basic Black, Real Red, Emerald Envy, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry
Punches:  Cookie Cutter Builder, 1/2" Circle
Extras:  4' x 6" Magnet, Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed today's blog hop!!

Last Pages

Hi!  Here's the cover and the final two pages of my 8" x 8" baby scrapbook.
I kept this simple and added the name.

I love these two pages.  They have a dog and no doubt will have photos of the two of them.  I used the Playful Pals stamp set and the coordinating Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies to make the dogs.  Of course I added pink bows, after all whats a dog without pink bows, right? LOL

Their nursery is Winnie thePooh, these two pages look similar to how the nursery is painted. I used my punches to create Piglet and Pooh (you can find directions all over Pinterest).

That's it. I hope you enjoyed the scrapbook. Stop back on Thursday for the STARS blog hop!

More Baby Pages

Hello!  Here are a couple more baby scrapbook pages. Just so you know, both of the stamp sets I've used are retired.
I really like these two critters!  I think the little signs they are holding up are perfect for a little journaling.  The white cardstock has embossed dots on it - love the texture.
If you are a follower you have seen many of these Zoo Babies pages (my favorites).  I added the pink flowers to make it a little more girly!

Two More Baby Pages

Hi!  Here are a couple more scrapbook pages.
When I started this book I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl so I was keeping the pages pretty generic.  After my niece had her baby girl I went back and added some pink stuff!
Love all the color on these two pages.  I used the Something for Baby & Made with Love stamp sets along with the coordinating Baby's First Framlits to decorate these pages.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

More Baby Pages!

Hello!  Sorry I have been absent this past week.  As we all know, life gets busy once in awhile.  I wasn't going to post my latest baby scrapbook yet, but quite honestly I haven't had time to stamp so it's all I have ready to share.  This one just may be my most favorite one yet!
The DSP and the scalloped punch are both retired now, but the images are from the Made with Love stamp set which is in this years catalog.  These pages are 8" x 8", what a fun size to work with.

Lots of retired product used on these pages too.  Only the Watermelon Wonder cardstock & ink and the swirly cut out behind the bunny are current. It's hard to see them, but I have two white labels that can be used for journaling on the page too.

That's it for today, I will share a couple more pages soon.  Thanks for stopping by!

DSC#192 Thoughtful Branches

Hi!  Check out this awesome color challenge!  I decided to use my Thoughtful Branches set again today, only this time I made a flower.

If you look closely you can see that after I stamped the image onto my Sweet Sugarplum ink pad, I then lightly stamped the outside edge onto my Island Indigo stamp pad. I love this color combination!  Isn't the flower stem and leaves beautiful?  The thinlits in this set are amazing.

Check out what my fellow STARS have done with these three colors:
Supplies
Stamp Set:  Thoughtful Branches
Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum, Island Indigo
Paper:  Whisper White, Island Indigo, Mint Macaron
Big Shot:  Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies

Thoughtful Branches

Hello!  Today I am sharing a card that I made for one of my cousins.  We both play Candy Crush and they have a lollipop tree on there that this fabulous new stamp set reminded me of.
I stamped the tree leaves image onto paper and then used my Big Shot and the thinlits die to cut it out. The lollipops are actually supposed to be apples, but I turned them upside down and stamped them with a stamp from the Swirly Bird set.

I cannot begin to tell you how great this new Thoughtful Branches bundle is.  You can do so many incredible things with it, it's so versatile! I have made more cards with this set that I will be sharing soon. In the mean time check out Pinterest - demos have posted a ton of beautiful projects.

Here's the thing, this set is only available August 2-31, 2016 or while supplies last.

Here's the stamp set. (143539 Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set $27.00)

Here are the coordinating thinlits. (143538 Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies $31.00)

If you would like both, you can save and order the bundle (144328 Thoughtful Branches Bundle $52.00)

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Hope you liked my lollipop tree! ;)
