Hello.  Just a quick post showing a sympathy card I made using the Thoughtful Branches set.

Both the punch and the sentiment stamp are retired.  I love these leaves! I used Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon ink.

DDSC#199 Pines

Hi!  I love the simplicity of this weeks sketch challenge.  Of course, I couldn't pass up another opportunity to make another Christmas card! LOL  This turned out even better than I hoped it would. (Love it when that happens!!)

As you can see I used the Christmas Pines set again!  I cut the Whisper White strip 2" x 5.5" and did some two-step stamping on it.  The sentiment banner was cut using my Banner Triple Punch and the pinecone was made using my Big Shot and the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.  I also used one of the images in the stamp set to stamp on my Real Red card base.

Stamp Set:  Christmas Pines
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Emerald Envy, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Ink:  Real Red, Soft Suede, Emerald Envy
Big Shot:  Pretty Pines Thinlits
Punch:  Banner Triple
Extras:  Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine

Christmas Pines

Hello!  Well, I have another Christmas card for you.  Quite frankly I am a little worried about getting all of my cards done this year, so that's what I have been focussing on this weekend.  I really like this one...I can't believe how beautiful and delicate the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies are!

For this card I stamped one of the pine images directly onto the Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut out more with my Big Shot and the Thinlits and glued them on top of the stamped image.  As you can see I also cut out the bow and the pine cones using the Thinlits as well.

Maybe this close up can give you a little better idea on how super cool these are.  I should make it clear that although they look delicate, they are quite sturdy and strong.  I plan on using them for 3D items as well.

Stamp Set:  Christmas Pines
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Ink:  Old Olive, Early Espresso
Big Shot:  Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies
Extras: Sponge

Thank you for stopping by today!

Another Christmas Card

Hello!  Before I share today's card I wanted to mention that I may not be very regular with my posts for awhile.  My work schedule has changed and I am now working four full days - which leaves me too tired to stamp at night. (I am not one of those people who can work, cook, clean and stamp all in one day!) So, I am hoping that I will get a chance to stamp on the weekends, but if I have too much other stuff to catch up on it may not be possible.  I know I do not have a big following, but I wanted to let those of you who are so kind to check in once in awhile to know what was going on.  Thanks for your understanding.  Anyway....I love this Christmas card I made using the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and punch, along with the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.

Aren't these two just too cute?

I just love the pine leaves.  They are so delicate and the bow comes with the Thinlits too.

Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Christmas
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Emerald Envy, Real Red
Ink:  Early Espresso, Real Red, Emerald Envy
Big Shot:  Pretty Pines Thinlits
Punch: Cookie Cutter Builder

DSC#197 Beach Towels

Hi!  Man, I have to say I was really bummed that I didn't have the Pop of Paradise or You're Sublime stamp sets - they would have both been perfect for this weeks challenge.  That's ok, I decided it would be ok to have butterfly beach towels!

I even had some retired clothes pins I could use to hang my beach towels!  This was a fun challenge, not sure how I will ever mail this card though! LOL

Stamp Set:  Watercolor Wings
Paper:  Marina Mist, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi
Ink:  Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Night of Navy
Extras:  Thick Baker's Twine, Mini Clothes Pins (retired)

Scarecrow Candy Basket

Hello!  Every once in awhile I get super excited to show you all something...well, today is one of those days!!!  I needed some sort of a fall candy holder so I started playing around and I am thrilled with how cute this turned out!!

How cute is this scarecrow???  He is from the new Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set.  Some of you may remember that one of my all time favorite SU! products has been the Berry Basket Die (now retired), so I couldn't resist using it with the scarecrow.  I weaved a 1/2" strip of Cajun Craze cardstock through the slats to give the basket some extra stability. I cut thin strips of Crushed Curry cardstock, crumbled them, and then glued them to the basket.  The scarecrow is mounted with Dimensionals.

Here's another view of the basket.  You can see from this view that I sponged the edges of my cardstock with Crumb Cake ink.  The scarecrow was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored in using ink pads and a Blender Pen.

Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Halloween
Ink:  Basic Black, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Garden Green,
        Pumpkin Pie
Paper:  Kraft Cardstock, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla
Big Shot:  Berry Basket Die (retired)
Punch:  Cookie Cutter Builder
Extras:  Dimensionals,  Handheld Stapler

Thanks so stopping by!  Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Holiday Catalog

Hello!  It's here! I love this year's Holiday Catalog and have been enjoying playing with the items that I was able to preorder.

If you have some time click here to view the catalog.

I have purchased the Cookie Cutter bundle on page 6 and have been having a blast with the gingerbread man.  On page 19 you will find the Christmas Pines Stamp Set and Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies - I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful the pines and pine cones are once they are cut out with the Big Shot.

That's all for today, thanks for stopping by!
