DSC#208 Christmas Cookies

Hi!  I love this week's color challenge.  I've used these three colors (although I substituted Real Red for the Cherry Cobbler for these cards) for several of my Christmas cards this year.  It a perfect color scheme for the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set!

As you can see I used the beautiful and Candy Cane Lane DSP for a base layer on these cards.  This paper just makes me happy! The coordinating Baker's Twine is super fun too!

SUPPLIES
Stamp Sets: Cookie Cutter Christmas, Christmas Pines
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Ink:  Real Red, Garden Green, Early Espresso
Punch:  Cookie Cutter Builder
Big Shot: Banners Framelits
Ribbon:  Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed this weeks blog hop.

Sympathy Cards

Hi.  We recently lost my mother-in-law and I made my husbands siblings some cards.  I did get much inspiration from Pinterest, but I tried to make them my own by changing a few things. I kept the color scheme of Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Delightful Dijon.
For this card I used the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and coordinating thinlits along with the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases.

This card also used the tree from the Thoughtful Branches Thinlits.  I saw this card made using the Sheltering Tree set and it looked very nice too.

This card was stamped with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and the leaves were cut out using the coordinating thinlits.

This one was stamped using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set also and then cut out using the framelits.

I love each and everyone of these cards, just as I do my in-laws.

Peeking Reindeer

Hello!  I saw a cute gift tag on Pinterest a couple of weeks ago and I thought that it would make a cute Christmas card. Here's a couple that I made.
I used a lot of product making these cards!  First, I used Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch to make the Reindeer.  Next, I used the Hearth & Home Thinlits to make the window. Last, but not least, I used the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies to decorate the top of the window.

I'm totally in love with the This Christmas Specialty DSP.  It's lightweight and I like every single pattern.  I thought it worked out nice for these cards.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the cards as much as I enjoyed making them.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Treats

Hi!  I had so much fun making these fall treats for people.

I filled 1" x 8" cellophane bags with M & M's and then decorated a tag with one of my favorite stamps - the Cookie Cutter Halloween scarecrow!  After coloring him with a Blender Pen and my ink pads, I attached him to one of the leaves from the Leaflets Framelits, which I then tied to the bag with some Linen Thread.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Halloween
Ink:  Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Dapper Denim
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze
Big Shot:  Leaflets Framelits
Extras:  Linen Thread, Retired 1 x 8 bags

Thanks for stopping by! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

November Paper Pumpkin

Hello!  I got my Paper Pumpkin on Friday and put them together right away, of course I forgot to post a sample then!  Oh well, at least I remembered while it was still the weekend.

So, as you can see, this month the kit contained supplies to make 8 notecards that look like this.  It's cute, but it was a lot of fussing around for me.  Each of the four layers are mounted with either Dimensionals or glue dots.  It's hard to see, but there is a vellum piece behind the 3 cut out layers.  They included a stamp set that had the trees and 2 of the houses in it.  Of course, I just had to pick the card that I did the worse stamping on to photograph!  Oh well, it's ok, now the trees look like they have some snow on them!

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

DSC#207 Falling In Love Suite

Hi!  I'm pretty excited about this week's challenge.  Since I attended a Stampin' Up! On Stage event this month I was able to pre-order some new product that will be available in January.  This card is made with some of those new products!!

I used the So in Love stamp set, the coordinating So Detailed Thinlits Dies, Falling in Love DSP, and some Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin Ribbon.  Oops, forgot to mention the new Stitched Shaped Framelits (pink circle) too!  Love these! I did a little stamping on the DSP right under the sentiment. The DSP is very soft and pretty, perfect for wedding and many other occassions. Wait until you see the rest of the products in this suite, they are all so very pretty.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  So in Love
Paper:  Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Falling in Love DSP
Ink:  Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride
Big Shot:  So Detailed Thinlits, Stitched Shaped Framelits
Ribbon:  Very Vanilla 1/4" Satin

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed this week's blog hop!

Mini Clipboards

Hi!  I've been trying to use up some the supplies I have been hoarding over the years and I came across some 4" x 4" coasters and some fun DSP left over from Sale-A-Bration a couple of years ago and thought that I would make these mini clipboards.  I love them and have been giving them away for little gifts!

These were quite popular awhile ago so many of you may know how to make them already.  What I did was cut the DSP into 4 x 4 inch squares.  I then glued it onto the coasters (you could use any size chipboard too) with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trimmed the corners.  I took a short strip of DSP (whatever size fits your clip) and attached it to the binder clips with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by.  We are expecting another fabulous fall day here in Wisconsin - I hope to enjoy it!

Stamp Class

Hello!  I thought I would share the cards that we made in my stamp class last weekend.

We used the Cottage Greetings to make this card.

For this card we used the Swirly Birds stamp set and the matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.

Last, but not least, this card was made using the sentiment from the Cottage Greetings stamp set and the flowers/leaves were cut out using the Big Shot and the Botanical Builder Framelits. Unfortunately  this DSP was only available last spring.  I've been hoarding it, but thought it was finally time to let go and use some of it! LOL

That's it for today, have a great weekend!  I plan on stamping a little this weekend, so that will be fun!

DSC#206 Treat Holders

Hi!  This weeks challenge was a fun one.  We all know that Stampin' Up! has quite a few super cute packaging dies.  I couldn't decide which one to make so I ended up making two!

I haven't played with my Pyramid Pals Thinlits in a long time.  I thought this little Cookie Cutter deer fit perfectly on there.  I used my Perfect Pines stamp set and framelits to make two trees for the side panels. I probably should have added some fun ribbon or something, but I kept it simple.

There's plenty of room inside for one or two of my favorite treats - Lindt truffles!

For this next one I cut two of the smaller panels from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and made a small bag to hold these super yummy chocolate covered peppermint sticks.  I decorated it using the Pretty Pines Thinlits. I just love this DSP!!

Supplies
Stampe Set:  Perfect Pines, Cookie Cutter Christmas
Paper:  Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, This Christmas DSP, Crumb Cake, Candy Cane Lane DSP
Ink:  Garden Green, Early Espresso
Big Shot:  Pyramid Pals, Pretty Pines, and Mini Treat Bag Thinlits
Punch:  Cookie Cutter Builder

Hope you enjoyed our blog hop!

Stamp Class Project

Hello!  I thought I would share the 8 x 8 sampler we made at my stamp class this past weekend.  (We used both current and retired product.)

I was pretty happy with how this turned out, you know me...I like things pretty clean and simple. It's hard to tell from this photo, but a lot of the stamped images were mounted with Dimensionals, the "fall" letters were embossed using the Big Shot and the Woodgrain embossing folder, and the leaves were curled using a Bone Folder to give the project some dimension.  We put them in 8 x 8 shadow boxes.

Current Supplies
Stamp Sets:  Cookie Cutter Halloween, Sheltering Tree, Vintage Leaves
Paper: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Delightful Dijon, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Old Olive
Big Shot:  Leaflets Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder
Punch:  Cookie Cutter Builder

Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Mini Notebooks

Hello!  Just a quick post showing some mini note books that I covered with retired product.

I removed the wire, glued the DSP to the cover, used a hole punch to punch the holes, and then put them back together again.

I think these are great to have in your purse...never know when you need to jot something down!  They make nice little gifts too. I colored in the flowers with some ink and a Blender Pen.  The only current product I used was the Big Shot and the Lots of Labels Framelits.

Yesterday I attended a Stampin' Up! event in Madison, WI where we got a copy of the Ocassions Catalog that goes live on January 4th.  I have to say that I have quite a list going already!  Some very nice masculine stamp sets too.  We also got a peak at the Sale-A-Bration catalog, it too is pretty great!   I can't wait to share them both with you. It was a long, but fun day spent with 5 of my fellow DOstamperSTARS.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!  Look at this great fall challenge today - I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

I love this card.  Does the orange layer look familiar?  It is leftover product from a Paper Pumpkin Kit and I love how great it looks on this card.  That's why its a great idea to save the leftover supplies, you never know when they will come in handy.

I just love this scarecrow!  I colored him in using a Blender Pen and my ink pads.  He's mounted with Dimensionals.

Stamp Set:  Cookie Cutter Halloween

        Crumb Cake
