Sealed with Love Sampler

Hello!  I couldn't resist using the Sending Love Suite products to make a Valentine Sampler for my shadow box frame.  This took me a couple of weeks to put together, things were just not clicking until this morning, but I think it was worth the wait.

I decided to stick with only these three colors, which was kind of hard for me since I'm such a "pink girl"!!  As you can tell, this is the view looking down from the top.

This view was taken from the side so you can see some of the 3D pieces.

Here's what it looks like in the frame. I just love the little envelope framelits and the little notes that slip inside!

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Sealed with Love
Paper:  Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sending Love DSP
Ink:  Real Red
Big Shot: Love Notes Framelits Dies

Thanks for stopping by. Hope I have inspired you to try your own Valentine sampler!!

DSC#215 Sealed with Love

Hello!  Loved this week's sketch and I knew the Sending Love DSP would be perfect to use for a Valentine's card.
The Sealed with Love stamp set and the coordinating Love Notes Framelits are so fun to work with. My favorite part of this card is the sentiment I stamped on that teeny tiny scrap of paper and then glued it to the arrow! Took me awhile to come up with that idea.  :)

Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Sending Love DSP

Lift Me Up Birthday

Hello!  It was my Mother's Birthday yesterday and this is the fun card I sent her. The new Lift Me Up stamp set and the coordinating Up & Away Thinlits dies were used to make this card.

This is a "Z" fold card that I was inspired to make after seeing one on Pinterest made by Bronwyn Eastley. When you have time look up this stamp set on Pinterest, there are a ton of awesome samples!

Here's a view from the top.  The card base is Soft Sky and the grass is my favorite green, Wild Wasabi. I really love the shapes of the clouds in this set. The 2016-2018 In Colors were perfect for making the balloons.

Here's a side view.  This little trees are from the November Paper Pumpkin kit, I just stamped them and cut them out with my Paper Snips. This card was fun to make and my Mom said she liked it. Although, I'm not sure she would ever tell me if she didn't! LOL

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Lift Me Up
Paper:  Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, 2016-2018 In Colors
Ink:  2016-2018 In Colors, Smokey Slate
Big Shot: Up & Away Thinlits Dies

Special Birthday

Hello!  I'm very excited to share this birthday card that I made for my sister in law Cindy. I've had the Special Reason stamp set since November, but I just got the coordinating Framelits last week and couldn't wait to try them out.

Isn't it cool?!?  When you use the Framelit for the bigger flower it cuts out the petals and you can stamp the flower to show through or just have DSP or cardstock showing through. If you take the outline Framelit and run it through the Big Shot again it makes the Sweet Sugarplum flower on the left.  The little flower was stamped with Peekaboo Peach and then I dabbed a blender pen on the Flirty Flamingo stamp pad and colored the center of the flower.  I was pretty pleased with how this turned out!

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Special Reason
Paper & Ink:  2016-2018 In Colors
Big Shot:  Stylish Stems Framelits Dies

DSC#214 Nailed It

Hi! What a great challenge this week.  I love embossing folders and too often I forget to use them. Nothing like a bit of texture, it adds a lot to a card.

The Woodgrain embossing folder has always been a favorite of mine, but now that I have the Nailed It stamp set I love it even more!  It goes perfect with all these tools! I stamped the tools in Jet Black Stazon Ink and then colored them in with our new Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. As you can probably tell they have matching Framelits too!!!!

Supplies
Stamp Set: Nail It
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink:  Jet Black Stazon
Big Shot: Build It Framelits Dies
Extras:  Blender Pen, Watercolor Pencils

Flourishing Sympathy

Hello. Today I am sharing a sympathy card I made using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.

I used the coordinating Flourish Thinlits Dies and my Big Shot to cut the leaf and the diagonal decorative strip. The flower and leaves were stamped once and then a second time onto Whisper White cardstock. This card was made for a dear friend who recently lost another one of her friends, so I made it using some of our favorite colors.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Flourishing Phrases
Paper:  Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White
Ink:  Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder
Big Shot:  Flourish Thinlits Dies

Thanks for stopping by today! I got some new stamp sets the other day and have been having fun playing with them...looking forward to sharing my ideas with you!

DSC#213 Love Basket

Hi!  Oh, Valentines! What a fun challenge this week. I always have a little basket of candy on the end of my island in our kitchen, so this week I made a new one for Valentine's Day.

My retired Berry Basket die was once again put to good use. I knew I wanted to keep it pretty simple this year so I stamped directly on the basket and didn't add any embellishments at all.  It turned out exactly how I wanted. A wonderful surprise was how sturdy the Whisper White Thick cardstock was!

Here's a different view.  I will never get tired of these baskets, they really hold a lot of candy!!!  LOL.   Since I didn't want staples showing I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to put the basket together.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Sealed with Love
Ink:  Melon Mambo
Paper:  Whisper White Thick Cardstock

Calendar

Hello.  Last year Paper Pumpkin had a calendar kit that I put together and kept on my stamping desk. While I didn't keep the pages, I did keep the stand, and since I liked having it I decided to make my own calendar to display this year.  Here are the January and February pages.

You can find many different printable calendars online and can cut them to the size you like.  I found this one on Splitcoast Stampers.  I used the Snow Place stamp set for this page. The base is a retired 4" x 6" piece of DSP.

I love this one!  All of the supplies used to make the February page can all be found in the new 2017 Occasions catalog except for the scalloped heart, it is from a retired framelits set.  The DSP is called Sending Love and the embellishments were all cut out using my Big Shot and the Love Notes Framelits.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by!

DSC#212 Hey, Chick

Hi!  I must admit that when I first saw these three colors I wasn't too thrilled...just not into yellow or orange...but then I thought that's what these challenges are all about, trying something different.  Boy, am I glad I did!  I've been wanting to use the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Hey, Chick ever since I got it, but haven't taken the time until today.  It was perfect for these colors and I am beyond happy with how this card turned out!

The stamp set comes with 3 chicks, but this is my favorite.  Isn't she fun?! I even stamped part of her on the bottom left corner of my envelope.  When I first added the layers I didn't stamp on them and I felt like something was missing.  Looking through my stamp sets I came across Timeless Textures and knew right away that I found just what I wanted to finish them off.  After stamping the image on Shimmery White cardstock I used my Blender Pens dabbed onto my ink pads to color the chick in.

Supplies
Stampe Set:  Hey, Chick (2017 Sale-A-Bration)
Paper:  Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Shimmery White
Ink:  Basic Black, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed the blog hop.

It's Sale-A-Bration Time!!!

Hi!  Just a quick post letting you know that it's my favorite time of year...Sale-A-Bration.  That means for every $50.00 you spend on Stampin' Up! products you can choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Also, the 2017 Occasions catalog went live today.  Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves this time.  There are some fabulous items in this catalog.  I just placed an order and cannot wait to share with you all the cool cards I will be making.

For you convenience I have added links (on the right side panel of my blog) to both of these catalogs. If you place an order I would be grateful if you chose me as your demonstrator.  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Special Reason

Hello!  I made this 4" x 4" card awhile ago using a new set from the 2017 Occasions catalog which goes live on January 4th.

The flower and leaves were hand cut using my paper snips.  I used my retired Circle Framelits to cut out the center of the card base and then stamped the flower onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I adhered to the inside of the front flap.  I love the look of the leaf veins (?) that I stamped onto the front, it adds a nice soft touch.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Special Reason
Paper:  Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Whisper White
Ink:  Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron
