Butterfly Basics

Hello!  Today I am sharing a little bit larger card, 4 1/2" x 6 1/4", that I made using the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
I colored in the flower with a Blender Pen and I'm guessing my Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi ink pads.  The reason I am guessing is that this card was part of a gift I gave to my mom for Christmas. While I took photos of the cards before I gave them to her I didn't write down any directions! So sorry about that! I thought I would share it anyway since this card could be made with a variety of colors and they all would look beautiful. I stamped the fern stamp a couple of times on the base layer and then mounted the rectangle piece with Dimensionals on top of it. If you look closely you can see that I used my Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on the flower petals. The Baker's Twine was left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Butterfly Basics
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Basic Black
Paper:  Very Vanilla

Cool Treats Birthday

Hi!  Boy, time has gotten away from me again. I don't know what it is about nice weather that makes me forget to post a project! We have had a few gorgeous days here in Wisconsin and I have been spending much of it outside and not inside stamping.  Today is my sister-in-laws birthday and this is the card I made for her.

This was made using several products from the Cool Treats Suite in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Isn't this DSP pretty? I also love the Frozen Treats Dies that I used to cut out the bowl, spoon, ice cream, chocolate sauce and the cherry.

The patterned layer on the bowl is from the Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape pack.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Cool Treats
Paper:  Tasty Treats DSP, Chocolate Chip, Pear Pizazz, Peekaboo Peach Watermelon Wonder, Crumb
            Cake, Pool Party
Ink:  Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party
Big Shot:  Frozen Treats Framelits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits
Extras: Dimensionals, Tasty Treats Washi Tape

Hope you liked the card. Thanks for stopping by today!

DSC#218 No Bones & Ribbon

Hello! I have to admit that this week's challenge was a real challenge for me!!  LOL  I have a ton of ribbon (most of it retired), but I just don't use it a lot.  Partly because it's just too pretty and partly because I'm just a clean and simple girl who doesn't use a lot of embellishments/ribbons on her cards.  This past week I have been working on another baby scrapbook - yep, another one - so I wanted to figure out a page that I could use ribbon on.  Must admit I'm pretty excited with how this turned out...

Here's the left page.  My idea is that they will place a photo on the top half of the pages. The bottom paper is from the 2016-2018 Envelope Paper pack.  As you can see I used the No Bones about It stamp set, and the leaves from the Botanical Builder Framelits.

The right side has a blank (and retired) Word Bubble Framelits to be used for a little journaling. I stamped the dinosaurs onto Whisper White cardstock and cut them out by hand with my Paper Snips.

Here's a closeup of the ribbons.  For the base layer I used the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. The accent piece is Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine.

Supplies
Stamp Set: No Bones about It
Paper:  Dapper Denim, Whisper White, Emerald Envy
Ink:  Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy
Big Shot:  Botanical Builder Framelits, Word Bubble Framelits (retired)
Ribbon:  Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine, 5/8" Burlap

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you like my scrapbook pages and our blog hop.

Happy Valentines Day

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a couple more cards I made using the Sealed with Love stamp set, the Love Notes Framelits Dies, and the Sending Love DSP.

I love this card.  I used the framelits to cut the shapes out of the Whisper White layer and then placed a piece of the DSP behind it before mounting it to the Real Red card base.

This is another fun card.  I used one of the framelits to cut the right edge of the card.  The little envelope is so cute, I plan on using that on cards for other occasions as well.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your day is filled with love!

DSC#217 So Detailed

Hello!  I have to say this week's challenge was a real challenge for me! LOL  I knew what colors and stamp set I would use right away, but things did not come together as easily as I thought they would. That's what so great about these challenges, they really get me thinking and trying new things.  Well, enough chatter, here's what I made...

I used the So Detailed Thinlits Dies and the So in Love stamp set to make this card.  All the flowers on the right side have been stamped with Night of Navy ink.  The flowers on the left are actually cut out of Night of Navy cardstock using the Thinlits and my Big Shot. Pretty cool, huh? I love how detailed the Thinlits are. It's hard to see, but I used some Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine to tie a bow on the left side of the card. That cute and simple "Thank You" is from the All Things Thanks stamp set which is featured in the 2017 Occasions catalog.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  So in Love
Paper:  Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink:  Night of Navy
Big Shot:  So Detailed Thinlits
Extra: Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this week's challenge.

Avant Garden Frame

Hello!  Today I thought I would share one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets with you.  Just in case you haven't heard about Sale-A-Bration, when you purchase $50.00 in Stampin' Up! products you earn one of the items in the Sale-A-Bration flyer for free!  This promo runs from January 4th through March 31st, 2017. You can click on the button over on the right side to view the flyer.

This frame was included in a Paper Pumpkin kit quite some time ago and I decided to change the stamped image using the Avant Garden stamp set. I inked the image and stamped the flower on the right, then immediately stamped the flower on the left without re-inking the stamp togged a lighter image.

After stamping I used my Big Shot and one of the square Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to cut it out.
Even thought the color didn't match, I used a piece of Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine to make a bow just to add a little something extra.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Avant Garden
Paper:  Mint Macaron, Whisper White
Ink:  Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron
Big Shot:  Stitched Shapes Framelits
Extra:  Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to re-purpose a frame by adding a stamped project!

DSC#216 Valentine

Hi!  Today we have a nice color challenge that gave me a chance to get another Valentine card made.

I used the Love Notes Framelits Dies and my Big Shot to cut out the super cool hearts on the right side of the card, the mini envelope, red and blue hearts, and the arrows.  One of the stamps from the Sealed with Love set was used to stamp the pattern on the card base. The Sending Love Suite is really fun to work with and the possibilities are endless!

Supplies
Stamp Set: Sealed with Love
Paper:  Soft Sky, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink:  Soft Sky, Real Red
Big Shot:  Love Notes Framelits Dies
Extra:  White Baker's Twine

Watercolor Valentine

Hello!  Today I saw Sara Douglas, Stampin' UP! CEO, on a live video on Facebook and she totally inspired me to make this Valentine card. To tell the truth I was a little down in the dumps and her big smile and all that positive energy turned my entire day around! So...thanks Sara!!!

This morning Sara shared how she watercolored on Shimmery White cardstock and I thought it would be perfect for a Valentine card. I chose to use just a dot of Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo and Real Red ink refill.  I dabbed my my very wet Aqua Painter into each on of the inks one at a time and swiped the painter across my paper.  I must admit that for some reason this has always been a hard technique for me, but today it turned out pretty good!  Of course, I had to use the Sealed with Love stamp set and the coordinating Love Notes Framelits Dies to finish the card.

Did you notice how shinny my arrow is?  Yesterday Sara shared another technique adding ink to the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. She made some really cute slime guys by coloring in a stamped image with the colored glue. That got me thinking about that glue. So, I took some Real Red carsick and cut out one of the arrows from the Love Notes Framelits,  then I colored over it with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  It dried pretty quick and left this shinny arrow!  Turned out even better than I hoped it would. I love this card and owe it all to Sara for getting me moving today!

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Sealed with Love
Paper:  Real Red, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Shimmery White
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo, Real Red
Big Shot:  Love Notes Framelits Dies
Extras:  Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Aqua Painter

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope I have inspired you to try one of these two techniques!

Number of Years

Hello! Our Grand Niece turns 1 today and this is the card I made for her. I know this doesn't look very child like, but I wanted to ...
